History of Maytag

The Maytag Company was started back in 1907 by Frederick Louis Maytag. It was his goal to design appliances that would be durable and long lasting, and that goal is still the goal of the Maytag Company today.

Over the past 100 years that this company has been in business, their company has grown to include a variety of products other than just washers. Today the company continues to work on producing the most quality and dependable washing machines available.

Maytag Washing Machines Overview.

There are a variety of different Maytag Clothes Washers that are offered. These washers fall into different categories.

First new high efficiency front load washers are known as the Epic. The slightly cheaper and smaller front loaders are called Epicz – the extra “z” on the end means it is a cheaper model which also has less features. Maytag also has a budget front loader, one such example is MAH2400AWW – they are very compact so ideal for smaller accommodations.

In the top load range you have the choice of the bravo high efficiency top loader range or the standard top loader known as the Centennial. The Bravo range is their new top load model which has replaced the Neptune range altogether.

Maytag also make washer/dryer combinations. The washing machines offered also come in several different sizes as well, so you can choose from standard size washers, large capacity washers, or even super large capacity washers ideal for large families. Depending on which product you decide to purchase, you can expect to pay anywhere between $500 and $1200.

Common Features of Maytag Washing Machines

There are a variety of different features that are offered on Maytag washers. While some are specific to certain machines, there are other features that are used on many of the washing machines offered by Maytag. The following are some of the most common features you can expect to find on a Maytag.

1 Year Warranty – One feature that you will find on every new Maytag washing machine is a one year warranty. This warranty is good for one year and it covers both parts and labor for the machine. However, the warranty will not cover any accidents that may damage the machine.

Wash Presets – All of the machines by Maytag come with several different wash presets on them. Some only come with a few presets, while there are some others that come with 12 presets. Some of the great presets that may be included on selected washing machines include wool, sanitary wash, and hand wash.

Dispensers – Most of their machines also come with some dispensers as well. There are some that come with specific dispensers for bleach, while others have fabric softener dispensers in them. Some washing machines may even have both dispensers included.

Temperature Levels – Their washing machines feature different temperature levels as well. Some may not have these levels, but many come with three or even five different temperature levels that you can choose from when doing your laundry.

Quiet Operation – Some oMaytag washers also come with a quiet operation feature. While this is not included on every washer by Maytag, it is definitely a feature that many people appreciate, especially if your washing machine is located in your home.

Colors – There are several different colors that you can choose from, depending on the specific Maytag model you choose. Some come in white, some come in blue, and others come in black.

Pros and Cons of Maytag Washers

They are stylish with good looks and the Epic and Bravo have a large capacity for holding clothing. These machines are generally quite water efficient and quiet as well. Maytag isn't the cheapest machines but they spin well and people seem satisfied with the washers cleaning ability.
