Whirlpool LSR8233EQO

by Kathi
(cincinnati oh usa)

We have a Whirlpool LSR8233EQO washing machine. It has been with us for over 10 years. I do not think you can find the same model in the market now.

After we bought our new house, we went shopping for a washing machine. The one that attracted us was this white Whirlpool washing machine. I do not remember how much it was since it has been so long. We bought it from a furniture store that has closed several years ago. We like this one was because it’s function and price. We bought the washing machine and the dryer as a set.

Our washing machine is traditional top-loading washing machine. The front loading machine was not as common 10 years ago as it is today. It has a two-speed motor. The washing machine has three loading sizes, small, medium and large. There are eight different wash cycles including super wash, normal wash, permanent press, delicates wash, and had wash, which is really convenient for all your different wash needs. And you can also chose using hot, warm, or cold water for washing or rinsing. It is really easy to use.

This washing machine has worked very well for all these years. We are very pleased with it. No matter how dirty the clothes are, they all come out clean after the wash. We can even put our queen size comforter there to get washed clean. That is a big plus.

This is the only washing machine we have had. I would not know how it compares with other models. But I do know that we are very pleased with it. However, if we were going to buy a new one, we probably would get a front loader. I heard the front loader is more energy efficient and does a better job in washing. Well, since our washing machine is still working very well, we will continue to use it. To throw away a good functional machine is not good for the environment.

capacity of the LSR8233EQO
by: Anonymous

Does anyone know the capacity of this model? I'm looking to replace it and want something a little bit bigger but do not have the capacity.

Additional info: The washer is great. I bought i used 5 years ago. It still operates perfectly. The problem is we get occasional rust colored stains on our clothes. I believe it's a product of the water we've been using. I'm in the military and have been in OK and NM over the last 3 years with super-hard water.

Acceptable Top-Loader
by: Anonymous

We received this machine used three years ago and have found that it was "acceptable". I lived in a house with a front loader for years and really miss that style. Contrary to the comment that the high spin makes the clothes wear out faster, I found that the fact that the machine did not have an agitator actually SAVED clothes from being torn up. Not to mention the energy savings and the ability to wash more at one time. We are just now able to buy a front loader and I will not be sorry to see this top-loader go.

Having said that, though. As top-loaders go, and particularly an older, used one, this has been a pretty reliable machine. As it still works, we will be selling it or giving it away.

LOVE THIS MACHINE

I have the same washing machine but it's on it's way out. I hear front loaders are good and bad and the bad being they spin faster so the clothes get worn out faster so think twice
