WDRR2500KW Top Load King-Size Capacity Washer 3.5 cu. ft.

The WDRR2500KW is a small and compact washer that sports the basic features that most users will ever need. It comes in a simple and elegant white finish in a compact frame that makes it so easy to store anywhere.

Interior Features
  • The WDRR2500KW has the PerfectTemp Auto Temperature Control that provides for a more convenient wash, requiring no need to guess about what temperature you need to set for your load.
  • The DualAction Gentle Power agitator effectively cleans clothes and removes odors.
  • The variable cycles allow you to customize the cycles according to the kinds of fabrics you have in your load for a more efficient wash and can easily be set with the dial on panel.
  • The liquid dispenser is also located inside, in the left side of the washer. Fabric softener is also located inside and is very useful if you want to avoid adding fabric softener directly on the load and risking discoloration due the softener.
  • Pre-wash cycle is very useful in removing tough stains especially from whites and light colored shirts.
  • You also get to control the washes with the Handwash option which is perfect for washing delicates.
  • Spin Only and Extended Spin cycles offer more options for optimum washing. Easy Care cycle is perfect for washing permanent press items and knits and other wrinkle free clothes.
  • The unit also comes with a countdown time readout that takes away the guesswork when it comes to knowing when the cycle is done.

    Exterior Features

  • Two dials on the top left side of the machine
    for easy programming of settings.
  • The first dial is used for determining the load size while the second dila is used for setting the temperature, which can be set at cold cold, warm cold or hot cold.
  • The last dial controls the many wash cycles.

    Dimension Specifications

  • Depth: 25.5 in.
  • Height: 42 in.
  • Width: 27 in.
  • Total volume: 3.5 cu. ft.

    Advantages

The WDRR2500KW is known for lasting long years without any problems. This is probably due to the stainless steel drum that is resistant to rust and endures more spins and cycles compared to other tub materials like porcelain or plastic. The load size is small but perfect for smaller families and saves a lot on power and water. The choices of water temperature allows you to use the right temperature for the fabrics in your load.

    Disadvantages

One of the main problems is that it tends to leak water around the room. It is also known for the weird agitator which is one of the most common complaints when it comes to this unit.

    Pros

  • This is a basic washer for regular users and is perfect for smaller homes.
  • whites come out really white.
  • The gentle washing cycles prevent color fading.
  • Automatic fabric softener adds to the convenience.
  • Despite its smaller capacity it can wash thicker clothes and fabrics such as quilts

    Cons

  • load size is not suitable for every size of family
  • Cycles and features may be too limited for those looking for units with more convenience features.

    Use a washboard instead
    by: Anonymous

Top Loader new HE unit no agitator. Less than one year old. Only two of us in the house so machine is not over taxed. Stopped wash and spin cycles. Reset doesn't solve problem. Lowes (where purchased) said they discontinued the model GLWN5050MONS. "pick another and pay the difference" Not bad customer relations for Lowes, BUT...GE has been making washing machines for years. It isn't brain surgery. A motor and controller and a few water valves and pump. What's the problem with engineering a washing machine that works? I didn't buy the cheapest washer. I only wanted one that did the job it was designed to do? Was I asking too much? I GUESS SO!

This washer was a top of the line $600 washer in 2004. The transmission went in it the first year and the the circuit board went last year snd not i am told the motor is on it's way out - it squeals during agitation cycle and now leaks waster all over the floor. having a hard time finding a washer that is made well.
