GE GTWN3000MWS Top-load Washer 3.7 Cu. Ft.

GentlePower Agitator, 2 Wash/Spin Speed Combinations

GentlePower Agitator, 2 Wash/Spin Speed Combinations

This top-load washer allows you to have your clothes clean without ruining the fibers of your clothes. The GentlePower agitator makes this possible as the clothes inside the tub are cleaned without exposing your clothes to excessive wear and tear. The machine also has simple controls to be able to choose the best wash cycle for the type of clothes being washed. This way, you can be sure that you'll have clean and fresh-smelling clothes that are still in good quality.

Interior Features
  • Unlike traditional top-load washers, the GentlePower agitator of the GTWN3000MWS prevents advanced wear and tear, while making sure that the laundry will come out clean.
  • This machine has a Quiet-by-Design feature that allows it to operate quietly while not sacrificing on functionality. The machine also has the AutoBalance Suspension System that allows the machine to keep itself balanced while operating normally.
  • The 2 wash/spin speed combinations, 3 wash/rinse temp settings, plus other options make sure that each wash will bring very satisfying results. The speed is set according to the fabric type or your washing needs.

    Exterior Features

  • The GTWN3000MWS has a stainless steel wash tub that is subject to the company's warranty. The tub is durable and will last for a long time. The machine also offers a gentle spin wash for the clothes to stay clean without getting too much damage.
  • Like the rest of GE's top-load washers, this machine has a bleach and fabric conditioner dispenser that offers much convenience while doing the laundry. The bleach feature is activated during the wash cycle,
while the fabric conditioner dispenser operates during the second rinse cycle.
  • This machine has three different water levels that match the type of wash load that the user has put into the machine. This allows the user to save on water costs as the machine will not use up more than what is needed for washing.
  • The white color gives it a neat finish that is simple but sophisticated.

    Dimension Specifications

    Depth: 25.5 inches
    Height: 42 inches
    Width: 27 inches
    Total volume: 3.7 cu. ft.

    Advantages

Keep your whites and colored clothes safe with the wash options offered by this machine. Both types of clothing can be washed in a variety of cycles such as heavy, medium, light, and extra light. The machine can also handle both wash, rinse, and spin cycles for both types of clothes. You will not need to dish out the operations manual every time you need to do the laundry, thanks to the lid with colored instructions that you can use. The instructions are easy to read and definitely easy to follow. The control panel is easy to operate as well. The dual action agitator is gentler on clothes compared to other top-load washers.

    Disadvantages

Although the machine is advertised to have an AutoBalance suspension system, the machine is reported to shake a little and produce some noise during operation.

    Pros

  • multiple wash cycles
  • easy to use
  • dual action agitator
  • uses less water
  • durable

    Cons

  • still shakes and makes some noise
  • not as energy-efficient as other washers

    TERRIBLE WASHER!!!!
    by: Frustrated in Northville

I will never again buy a GE product. This washer is the worst appliance ever made. It does not get the clothing clean, it's EXTREMELY loud and noisy! Terrible, terrible washer. Haven't had it more than two years and I've already replaced the motor board fuse. GE should be ashamed to produce crap like this.

    So many problems
    by: Robert Ivester

This washer has many problems. First it dosen't get the clothes clean. Two the rinse and spin cycle dosen;t get the detergent out altho I have redused the detergent down almmost to zero. I found out from the service tech that it has a over flow that dumps up to a cup of water into the bottom of the washer and as a result goes on the floor. I am to the point of replacing it with another brand. I would not recomend this product.

    Hate this machine
    by: Carolyn

I hate this machine. Does not clean clothes. Hose was not long enough so I bought an extra one at samesman suggestion. Could not be attached and delivery man would not even plug the machine in because of it. I was furious since I gave away a good machine and bought this one. My son-in-laws managed to get a hose from home depot and hook up machine. Then we could not adjust the water level. Service center lady said new machines work better with warm or cold water and I don't need hot water. The cost was over $500.00 and I am going to try and sell this one and buy another but it will not ever be a GE machine nor will I buy anything GE makes.

    water waster
    by: Anonymous

When this machine is in the casual cycle, its keeps filling and draining at the same time. It continues to do so until manually stopped. I am returning this one week old machine tonight. Wish they would pay my water bill for the two times I didn't catch the machine and wasted water for 8 hours.

    Best Ever
    by: Anonymous

I have had this washing machine for over 15 years and have never had a problem with it until now. I washed something that fell apart and clogged up the pump. I would buy this washer over and over again.

    Awful Machine
    by: Annoyed in Melville

Purchased this machine on 3/12/11. It has yet to do a decent cycle. We've had repairmen on a weekly basis. It does not spin dry the clothes. They can be wrung by hand better than this machine does it. Noise and shaking - don't even ask. The water is at the bottom of the machine and soap remains on the clothes at the bottom of machine. How can GE put this machine on the market. Where is their Q.C. Dept?????????

THE LOUDEST WASHING MACHINE that I've ever owned!!!
    by: Anonymous

We bought our washer on Feb.8, 2011. It's so loud, that my cat won't go near the laundry room. It's hard to even have a normal conversation, due to the noise of the machine.

    rinse cycle is a joke
    by: Anonymous

Bought the machine Dec. 23, 2010. Have washed with a full load and no load. During rinse cycle it does not fill basket with neccessry water and agitates for only a few seconds. It sits and supposedly soaks the clothes, then start the drain cycle. I can't understand how the soap is being completely removed from the clothes. Techie coming out before I return the machine.

    worst machine
    by: Jane Thomas

The worst washing machine I have ever owned. I have owned this machine one week and use it three times. Does not fill to proper water level. Rinse cycle fills with water and then drains and spins does not rinse. I set the rinse setting for extra rinse and it does the same thing. I have to wash every thing twice. Machine bounces and moves during the wash cycle. Makes very loud clicking noises when changing cyclyes. I am returning the machine tomorrow.
