Whirlpool Stackable washer and dryer LTE5243DQ

by Crystal D
(USA)

While the washer and dryer work well, I feel like the cycles are too long on both. I also find that the lint screen gets filled up in just a matter of a couple of days.

Also I know for a fact now that my family needs much larger machines. The stackable set came with my condo when I purchased it and they were nice and compact but now that our family has grown, a couple of pairs of jeans does not seem to be a real load.

Because it is electric, I also get concerned about how much it impacts our electric bill every month. That is why I usually use the "energy efficient" setting on the dryer all the time, in hoped that helps keep our bill low.

The knob on the washer seems to stick a bit when I change the cycle type: my guess is that the set is about four to five years old now.

While I know Whirlpool is a reputable brand, I think our next washer and dryer set will be larger, front load (most likely) and hopefully quieter.

With a baby in the house, we try not to run the machines overnight especially the dryer since it makes a loud buzzing alarm when the cycle is over.

Still, it's better than apartment living and carrying quarters-- which was my fate before this set!
