Don't Remove Your Dryer Sheets

by Pat
(Forida)

When I do more than one load of clothes, I leave the dryer sheet from the first load in the dryer. They still smell good and I'm sure they have some life left in them. When I put the second load in the dryer, I still put in a new dryer sheet, just in case, so the second load now has two dryer sheets.

It can't hurt and I think the extra dryer sheet makes the laundry smell even better and helps to keep my clothes from getting static cling.

dryer sheets

I always reuse my dryer sheets, after one load, it's still crispy and can be reused. Also, I throw them in the washer when they get old before I throw them out.

Use Twice, Tear In Half
by: Anonymous

Not only do I use dryer sheet twice, I tear them in half and use a half sheet. It only takes a half sheet to do an oversized loan and I reuse it twice. For really large dryer sheets, I rip them in thirds.

at least

You can use a dryer sheet at least 2 times. Throwing it away after one load is a waste.

another use for dryer sheets
by: Anonymous

It's a pity that people throw out dryer sheets that still have life in them. When I went to school in a dry climate, I would carry a dryer sheet in my backpack and rub it on my hair to combat static. They're great!

go green

I'd also like to comment on leaving your dryer sheets in the dryer load after load. The sheets retain their perfume after two to three loads, and it's a great way to reduce waste and "go green!"

Saving the Stuff that is a Smell Good Treat
by: Ali

I absolutely agree with not removing your dryer sheets until the end of the 2nd load. It not only helps to soften up the smell but they make great pocketwarmers on a cold day especially in MIchigan and also if they are inside pajama pockets. *Just an Idea*

This is true!

I find this tip to be absolutly true.
I have been doing this for 10 years and not only does it help with static greatly, but it scents the laundry double.

Love this Tip

This is an awesome idea. I do this all this all time. It is a great tip and it saves lots of money. Dryer sheets are expensive and they are usually great for a few loads.
