Consumer Opinions »
Pros “clean clothes with less water “noticeable whiter whites” “love the sensor feature” “makes washing easier” “water bill dropped $10” “easy to operate ….. amazing design” “large tub cuts laundry time”
Cons “can’t open lid when load started” “no fabric softner dispenser”
This Whirlpool washer should be taken off the market. Whirlpool should send a refund to everyone who bought this machine from them. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool again. I have complained twice about this washer to Whirlpool, once when clothes were torn when the upper gray plastic piece in the tub became brittle and again when the water level was not enough to wash the clothes. Whirlpool told me they would send a repair man out at my cost. At one point the electricity went out while I was washing and after the electricity came back on it was like the washing machine did not know what to do. So for 4 "FOUR" hours it did not turn back on..... just sat there with the light blinking. Shame on Whirlpool.. you got my money once, but you want get another dime from me.

Broken in less than two years by: Laura
I bought this HE top loader thinking I was buying quality...it has been less than 2 years and it is making such a racket when it spins and after researching the part, it would cost about 300 to fix it. REALLY not even 2 years

does not clean clothes by: JoAnna
The washer that does not wash clothes, will not use enough water to dilute liquid or powder detergent. Liquid soad stains clothes, powder remains powder. Sears say you had it more than 90 days and did not buy the waranty. (Do not purchase this washer, it will be like throwing hundreds of dollars out your car window)

absolute KNIGHTMARE !!!!! by: SHIRLE
This is the worst washing machine ever!! No matter how well i followed the instructions or what i did,my clothes never came out clean, even using the extra rinse feature. All my clothes came out with "grit" on them, especially my darks. This machine is a high-efficiency,water-saver energy star without an agitator and with an annoying lid-lock. Because of all the different sensors involved, the cycle time was very long. I finally got sick and tired after not even 9-months,and ordered myself another washer as a Christmas present to myself. I bought a very simple G.E. without all the bells and whistles, that has an agitator, not high-efficiency or an energy star and without that darn lid-lock. I love this machine!! I EMAILED Whirlpool and complained to them about what a lousy washer they made and that they should have recalled this model.
I also mentioned how much money i was out to them, and they EMAILED me back, saying how sorry they were that i lost favor with them. OMG!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN!!

Stay Away! by: Darlene Schieltz
Stay away from this washer. It does not clean well, even when only a few items are placed in it. Forget about the water efficiency, if it doesn't clean. Shame on you Whirlpool. What is a washer for?
