Interesting!

I had never thought of this, but I often have trouble getting musty odors out of towels, etc., especially after a long vacation or camping trip. I am definately going to try this next time. Thanks for the tip!

Well...

Would it really be that bad if the lemon scent stayed? I mean it would be a pretty small amount, and I've seen detergents with citrus scents. Whitening and natural scent--sounds good to me.

Interesting

I'm a little suspicious, though. I would be worried that the lemon scent would stay in the clothes and it would take a heavy washing to get them out. I'll have to try it and see.

great idea!
by: Anonymous

I use lemons to lighten my skin and hair– makes perfect sense that this would work on clothes too! I always like to avoid using artificial chemicals, and lemons smell great as a bonus.

WOW! What a great idea!

I LOVE lemons! I use them to clean my house and have friends who use them to clean their meat (due to their anti-bacterial properties). This is the first time I have heard of someone using them for laundry. Good idea! Will try it!

lemon tip from my grandma
by: Anonymous

I learned this tip from my grandma. Cut lemon in half. Place lemon halves into a pillowcase and tie case so lemons will not fall out. Place in dryer and dry clothing as usual. The lemon will heat up releasing that fresh lemon scent. You will love your clothes!!

Good-but
by: Trini

Yes this one really makes it.
But you have to be careful. Only use Lemon for light colours- if you take it for dark colours you will get the 70ths batik look in your garment.
