The Splendide 2000 S washer/dryer combo is the first washer/dryer combo I have ever owned. When I first learned about it I was a bit skeptical as I am used to the traditional separate washers and dryers. This unit is amazing! It's small and compact, yet very efficient and effective when you consider it's size. I have mine installed in my RV and it's perfect for keeping up with our day-to-day laundry needs.

For example, I have a family of four, and as long as I make sure to do at least 1-2 loads per day, I can adequately keep up with my family's laundry needs without any "dirty clothes pile-up". Keep in mind, this is a small unit, so you cannot pack a ton of clothes in it. I would say that a typical load could handle 2 pairs of mens slacks, 4 shirts, miscellaneous socks and underwear items, and maybe a towel or 2. The unit washes and dries the clothing in a reasonable amount of time and does and excellent job of stain removal.

The only drawback is that because the unit is not very large, there is limited space for the clothing to tumble. This often results in more wrinkles in the clothing than I would prefer. However, I resolve this by making my own "wrinkle release spray": Get an old spray bottle, fill about 9/10 with water & 1/10 of liquid fabric softener. Spray on clothing as needed after dry cycle and smooth with hands.

In all, I love my Splendide washer/dryer. It's great for small spaces and for keeping up with small loads on a daily basis.

Don't be fooled! Eventually You'll hate Splendide

Buyer be ware! So you may like it when it's newly installed, the minute you're told they don't have parts available, you will be 110% as mad as you can be!

Westland the distributor is totally useless, to offer parts. They are so quick to say " no longer available" That's NLA on their internet site and on the phone. Don't be surprised. There won't be any substitutions offered either.

Don't be taken by all the hype of how good and compact these all in one units are. When it comes to drying you will have to take half your load out to dry as these units do not dry & leave fluffy clothes. They come out with the dimple markings from the washer drum and when your towels come out looking like that, you'll be angry.

These are facts, stated truthfully, without exception.

I'm the not so proud owner of a unusable WD802 that lost its impeller fastener that somehow spounoff and went down the drain. They had no parts whatsoever, and couldn't care less. All they had to offer was "lip service." Meanwhile Winnebago put this in my 38 ft. Diesel and built an 18" pocket door between the bath and galley. A 22" x 24" L/W washer dryer combo does not fit through an 18" opening. The welded frame and sides don't fit through. Go figure. But, that's a fact. It can be moved in the other direction to the bedroom, but the windows on either side don't accommodate. (Maybe they want you to drop the engine, and everything else??

Just be prepared to ask your local Vol Fire Co to tear this piece of "junk" apart with their "Jaws of Life" during on of their practice drills! That's the best I can offer based on my recent experiences dealing with this worthless, and now unusable "over rated" RV always sold off as a "RV Must Have" WRONG!

Do serious research, ask questions and make sure you get answers that make sense!

Good Luck, as you'll need it if you drink Splendide, Equator or the Meridian Brand Kool-Aid!

If you look closely, you will find out these are all the very same Imported / Manufactured by the same company in Italy, same part/ numbers can be found. Just the decoration on the Control Panels and Soap Dispensing drawer have been changed.

But, don't be fooled, they are all the same. Inside and under every panel.

I love this little work horse. I bought it for my rv it was preowned and did not expect much out of it. I pulled out my first load and was amazed how clean my clothes were! It’s a little miracle machine! They go in dirty and come out dry! My kids can’t even mess that up! I highly recommend for small spaces!

Splendide 2000combo washer/dryer NEW

The Splendide 2000 WM802M is a good washer/dryer. However I talked to the Splendide company today and found that they no longer make the parts for these machines. I am in need of a water pump #116590746TG. He said my only option was to try and find used one. If you know of or have a used one in working condition I would sure like to hear from you. Does anyone know of someone who rebuilds these old pumps.

Parts are difficult to find NEW

Splendide WD802M is a good machine, however Splendide discontinued making parts for the machine several years back. I am currently trying to locate a replacement drain pump P/N 116590746TG which they (Splendide/Westland) basically told me that I was out of luck and to keep looking on Ebay. That is my only complaint.
If anyone has an extra pump laying around, I would be interested in taking it off your hands.

ma spendide 2000 model 802 j ai un probleme quand j ouvre la valve de l eau froide et que il n y a pas d electricite sur la laveuse et que je fais partir ma pompe a l eau la laveuse se rempli quand meme pour l eau chaude tout va bien j ouvre la valve et elle ne rempli pas la laveuse pourquoi l eau froide coule toujours il faut que la valve soit ferme meme si il n y a pas d electricite .pouvez vous me donner la solution merci

Splendide 2000 S washing machine is good for you if you are concerned about the electricity bill. This one consumes very little electricity. Digital Cinema Projection Glass Moreover, it does give two options, washing and drying. So I think one can go for it without a second thought.

I was so wrong! It works great! When we purchased our 10 year old motor home, I was skeptical about having the washer dryer combo and was planning on taking it out so I could have extra storage space. My husband said lets try it while we were camping where we had hook ups. I was afraid it would leak or something, but was pleasantly surprised when the laundry came out great. My husbands jeans came out all wrinkled but he read someplace that if you add a teaspoon of softener in the softener dispenser that won't happen, which we did and it didn't! Our only concern with this machine is the manual says to clean the lint filter, but ours doesn't have one. At least we can't find it! The other model has a small door on the lower right front, but ours doesn't have that. We are assuming it is of the newer version that blows it out the dryer vent outside. We have tried to look up all the manuals we can, but can't find documentation on the WD 802 CO, but can find WD 802(X) which shows a different model than ours. All in all, it's a keeper and user!

I recently bought a washer dryer combo and I did not like it at all. It has the same issue that you have, it has no large capacity. So I have to wash my clothes on daily basis which is very annoying. Just bought a used splendide wd2000s. It is sweet. Ran a test load in the garage before installing it in the rv. It is super quiet, especially for as fast as it spins. It is still in the dry cycle, but is working fine. Can't believe how many options this little unit has. Meets all my needs and as long as I do a load every 2 or 3 days, I will have clean clothes for work. Im sure my wife will have to do a load everyday when we are vacationing in the rv, but we do have 2 young kids. A+++. Only paid $400 for a used unit that looks and works perfect. Check craigslist and don't pay more than $500.

i bougth a week ago a 2000 wd802m an used very little and look very good,today is my second wash,work incredible just push on and after two hours and a half open the door to take the clothes dryed,yesterday i used for the first time when it finished my shirt that was dirty on the back goes clean and the rest too,but 30 minutos later cleaning the drum i sorprised sow i forgot the 2 tablespom powder soap in the machinen,so it clened just with the movement in wash mode incredible.
tips no overload and no more the 2 tbsp powder is bether.it can serve to 1 to 3 persons,it will serve me in my one bedroom apartment.

Drum Baffle Problems

Our splindide works well in the RV, but has a problem. The baffles inside drum keep failing and coming loose from the drum. The little plastic fingers break sometimes and the thin drum material bends on others. The unit has been returned to a slendide repair facility, and I have ordered and installed several Splendide upgraded baffles. Here we sit in Rayne, LA and can't use our Splendide because only two of the three baffles aree attached.

Pros:
-Load, set, and 3 hours later the load is done
-Heats its own water so you still have plenty for that hot bath

Cons
-Small loads work the best, so splitting a load in half takes more time
-Once it is programmed and running it's hard to end the full cycle.

Best little machine I've ever worked with. Finding a place to install plumbing and then a washer and dryer baffled them all, from Sears to Best Buy. Side-by-Sides were too long and stacked ones too high. However I'd been to Europe and knew there were magic machines the size of an old council television that not only washed, but then dried all in one.

The hard part was finding one. The internet led me to Recreational Vehicle stores being these were practical to install in motor homes. I've come to believe they belong in all homes. It is made in Italy and distributed out of Clackamas, Oregon. Twice a week I throw in a load and forget about it until I feel like folding.

It has five settings, a softener, bleach, and detergent holder, and the energy rating is in the upper ninety's. I've had it two years now and not a lick of trouble.

Answer to the wash cycle only question

Yes, to the comment below. You can just do a wash cycle with no drying. I forget what the setting is but maybe you can check the manual or download a manual for it online. The trick is getting the unit's locking door mechanism to unlock after the wash/rinse/spin cycle has completed.
