Purex

I absolutely love the brand Purex. We use the Mountain Breeze scent. I makes the clothes smell so fresh and clean. It also does not gunk up the washing machine. I start the water and then add the Purex.

It seems to mix really well with all the clothes and gets evenly distributed to all the clothes. It is a great bargain for a huge bottle of it too.

I was a little leary upon first purchase of because of the cheap price, but after the first load with it, I was completely satisfied.

With having a family of four and only having one income into the house, this laundry detrgent is the best in regards to its value and cleaning ability.

There are a few scents available, but we have settled on the mountain breeze type. I just the love the scent and it stays with the clothes too. It doesn't disappear right away, so you get that clean clothes smell throughout the day.

My 7 year old daughter also made a comment one day on how good her clothes smelled after we switched to Purex. She still hasn't been willing to help with laundry yet though!

I also have a new baby and the detergent has not bothered her skin at all. It's gentle enough to use on her clothes, as well as strong enough to get stains out of my husband and older daughters clothes. What more can you ask for?

I will continue to use Purex as I am extremely satisfied with this product, it works great for my family.

I was a loyal Tide fan til I discovered Purex Laundry Detergent! I love the smells, the price, and the ease of finding it in the stores. I am having a bit of trouble finding the Purex dryer sheet but I will continue to look. If it is anything like the detergent it will have me lock stock and barell!!! Thanks for this great stuff!!!!

Purex Coldwater

I found out that wal-Mart sells Purex Coldwater. so I bought it and it worked really well. I even turned off the Hot Water Faucet that leads to the Washer. Clothes come out just as clean as before and everyone else can take warm showers because we stopped using up the hot water on our clothes. Also works well with whites and Bleach. I understand that Bleach is more effective with Cold water than with HOT because the actual bleach dissipates out of the water with the Steam.

Purex scent change

I too noticed that Purex changed scents, especially the Purex Baby detergent. I bought a bottle of the old version for my new baby, having used and loved it for my other two, and then couldn't find anymore. The new Ultra Purex Baby has a scent I'd describe as a cross between lemon furniture polish and Febreeze. Definitely not a smell you'd want for baby clothes! I called the company and they are sticking to a line that it's just because it's concentrated, but I just don't buy that excuse, it's totally different. I have been using Purex for a couple of months now and will never go back to my old brand!!! We love it, my husband is a Fireman, and if it can clean his clothes after a fire, it can clean anything!! My kids also suffer from Allergies and they can use Purex with no problem!! We love the Mountain Breeze, and After the Rain scents!! You don't need to spend alot of money, for a detergent to work great!! Purex does the job for half of the price!!

What can I say. It cleans better than anything I have ever used. I even wash everything in cold water to save energy. It is half the price of the detergent I use to use. Six years of use and it has never let me down. I love PUREX (moutain breeze).

Finally happy!

My whole family gets itchy if I use ANY detergent with enzymes. After many attempts at many different detergents, my good friend told me she used Purex and was even able to use it on her newborn. The first bottle I bought was Original Fresh with bleach alternative (same one my friend suggested). My family's clothes were clean, fresh smelling, and....NO RASHES!!! Been using it ever since, and I sometimes switch between the original fresh and the mountain breeze (both with bleach alternative).

I Love purex! I have used it too for years. Love the way it works, cleans, inexpensive, etc. I like the rain scent better than the others though. Recently I've noticed purex has changed it's scents. The original and the mountain scents smell stronger and much different than I remember. I was first sold out on it because of the price and the smell. But since they changed the smell, I'll still use it but I'm not happy with the smells. Has anyone else noticed this? I guess they are just trying to keep up with the other brands with there perfumier smells, but it could hurt them in the long run! But all in all I will still use it and try to get used to the new smells.
