Philips GC 2522 Iron
This is a good steam iron and for the price a real bargain, it does the job nicely and quickly, thanks to its strong steaming ability, and non stick plate. It heats up relatively fast and glides along, easily reaching the tiny parts such as buttons, and ironing around them. The design of this iron is slick and streamlined, not too hot on its color and would have liked some warmer choices.
But for the price range it was fine, it would be nice if brighter colors became more in supply. The iron has a long cord, which is good, and its conveniently situated above where the hand would be, so that its not constantly scratching against the bottom of the wrist.
I wasn't too happy with the promised steaming abilities, instead of it being great steaming, i found it difficult and confusing, and still am not able to get it to work correctly, the steam seems to start and stop at its own will. Like all other cheap irons I've tried. But otherwise its a great iron for the price.
Pros- its strong steaming ability and non stick plate
- heats up relatively fast and glides along easily
Cons - steaming abilities seems to start and stop at its own will
