How does this washer stand out? »
This washer comes in $200 cheaper than the more expensive bravo X (MVWX700AG), but the cheaper price obviously takes away some key features such as the power wash system and allergen cycle. It also has an inferior sound package and less cycles. On a positive note it has the same energy efficiency, size and speed.
Consumer Opinions »
Pros “good price for what you get”
Cons “I didn’t realize the amount of water used would be so low” “seems like I have to run the cycles twice to get clothes clean
Maytag Warranty not that great …

Only available in White MVWX500XW (there is a Spanish controls version which is identical to this washer, the model number is MVWX5SPAW )
This is the worst washer I have ever purchased. Also, the most expensive. It doesn't use enough water, and sometimes some things don't even get wet. If something is real dirty, it doesn't even come clean. I feel stuck with it. I would feel guilty selling or giving it away.I want a mid price standard washer. I don't think I would buy Maytag, because of this terrible washer. It makes me wonder if things that smell like detergent, are even clean. Hate it!! I even had a repairman here a couple months after I got it, he said that is how they are now.
