Maytag MAV6000AWQ

I own a Maytag MAV6000AWQ Washing machine and love it. We have had it about 8 years and it has never given us a problem in all that time. We shopped around a lot when we were originally looking for a machine and finally settled on the Maytag unit after reading reviews online and talking to friends about their machines. It was priced very competitively and we finally ended up buying it from a local retailer that specializes in home appliances. I know that there are a lot of “big box” store that offer amazing discounts, but we decided to support the little guy because we like the fact that we can call them if there are any problems with the machine. We have owned other brands in the past and have found that we had a problem about every 6 years with their units. We are really happy that this machine has worked great far longer and appreciate the savings of not having to have it repaired. We also decided to get a simpler version than some of the units offer today. We have owned more sophisticated units in the past and have had a lot of problems with the electronics, timers and displays. This unit has a simple know to control its operation and seems to have less things to break. We have an average sized family and do laundry every day, so it has had a lot if use. I especially like the fact that I can select various wash load sizes and save on water and detergent for smaller loads. It is located in our laundry room, right off of the kitchen and it runs very quiet, so we are never bothered by it when we are eating. Another nice feature is the easy way it allows you to level the machine. The feet are free floating and all you have to do is lift the front of the machine and set it down and the feet lock. In other machines we have owned, you had to get down on your hands and knees to level it. Overall, this machine has been fantastic for us and a real value for the price. Because we were so pleased with it, we have continued to buy Maytag products since this purchase and have had similar experiences with them as well. I recommend their products to friends and hope this review helps you in your decision.
