LG front loading washing machine

We bought this washing machine from the local shop named mega mart. We bought this machine in the last year and we are using this machine from last 1 year. We bought this machine from our relative’s suggestion as they were already using the same model.


Regarding the experience with this model, initially when we bought this it was quite well and quite good. After 1 year it started giving some minor problems mainly related to power switching, recently one month back when I went to do laundry , all the lights came on like normal, but the start button didn't start the machine. I finally tried pushing the custom program button, and the machine started. The next loads proceeded as normal. The same problem has occurred recently when my relative started the machine, he also tried pushing the custom button same like me and then after that it started. Except this problem every thing is well and fine.

Recently 2 days back we had given the machine for service and now it's functioning properly, till now after servicing it did'nt give any such major problem and now its power switching also is functioning properly.

Personally we suggest that it is ok to purchase this machine not that much bad as compared to some other models.

Would not recommend Lg washing machine.I have a 5 year old machine and the drum is broken.I followed all recommendations and used only HE soap. I have been advised that it is too costly to repair even if LG provides the drum.
Wash was not clean

We received a nearly new LG washer as payment for helping a family member move another very large appliance. Since we had it my wife has been complaining that the clothes are not getting clean. And it takes an eternity for a wash to cycle. I have to say I am glad we didn't buy this load of crap new, As my wife had wanted an lg front loader for over three years now. Why this "washer" fails to clean laundry is a matter of physics, You need H2O as a vehicle to carry the soil out of the laundry. No amount of automatically weighing the load, pausing, changing directions, can change that. I myself can do a better job washing laundry by stirring a mildewy mop in a rusty laundry tub. And yes we are using detergent designed specifically for these H.E. washers. The only way I could possibly consider another LG appliance is if it went through a crusher, was melted down and recycled as a Kenmore.

Switched from a top loader. I am all for eco and green, but unless you are a city dweller who want to wash sweat out of the clothes, don't even think about it.
The design does not wash out hair, grass any kind of pieces, even sand. A lot if this comes out in the dryer. Even after using "extra water" and "extra rinse" settings and run it through another pre rinse cycle. (where you can see that the detergent doesn't come out either)
Even what comes out of the clothes, stays in the drum, because it has nowhere to go. There are 3 small wholes under the rubber in the door, where I just discovered a bunch of dog hair getting stuck and the whole machine started to smell like a wet dog. There is a collector for this but it never makes it there.lol.

Do you know what they call someone that speaks only ONE language????
American!!!

So if you only speak one language, I wouldn't be so quick to put someone down for incorrect grammar!!! I wasn't aware that this was a "English as first language only" website/forum!! DUH!!

After using the washer for approximately one year we noticed that you cannot get rid of a mildew odor. We have tried everything possible to do away with the odor and finally called on the machine and found that there is a class action suit against LG for this problem. Yet they continue to sell this product even though they did not fix the problem.

a lot of ESL (English as a second language) people posting comments. You can tell from their fractured grammar and suspect spelling. Some teacher somewhere must have told his-or-her students to practice their English by posting a review on this site.

I absolutely love my LG front load washer. It uses little water and gets my clothes super clean, and takes more water out in the spin cycle than any other washer I have owned. It took awhile to get used to using less soap, but now I spend a lot less on water and soap.
