Keep Them Separated

by Amber
(Anderson, Cal USA)

Something my Mom taught me when I was young is to always separate your dark and light colors. Wash your towels only with other towels. But keep bathroom towels and kitchen towels in two different loads.

Linen must also always be washed by themselves. You don't want any of your linens to get rough by being washed with towels or clothes.

I agree with the seperating of clothes but the reason I found to be true is that when you don't seperate out the towels, because there might only be one or two, is that they will pill up (leave fuzz balls) all of the items washed with them! Including kitchen towels. These are not the wash again and they're gone kind of fuzzies, these are the hard core hand pick each and every one off fuzz balls!!Trust me, the seperating is much easier and in the long run takes way less time!! Well worth the time to save your clothing!

I agree

I mosty agree that towels should be washed separately, and I wash jeans separately for the same reason: it is a tougher material that can cause wear on more delicate fabrics. Based on that theory, I will wash jeans and towels in the same load.
