DGIX2 Intuitive Dryer by Fisher/Paykel
DGIX2 Intuitive Dryer by Fisher/Paykel is what I am reviewing here I used to buy "cheap" dryers thinking they were all about the same and that I could not afford an expensive one. This was dumb thinking. After going through 3 dryers in 5 and a half years I decided I wanted something better.
I did some online research and found a company called Fisher and Paykel who I believe did their primary buisness providing appliances for companies rather than individuals but were expanding to include more sales to everyday people. I then checked the Lowe's website, as Lowe's is my favorite store, and found out they carried a model or two of Fisher/Paykel.
I bought mine in person at a Lowe's after the sales guy raved about it. I asked him the hard questions regarding drying time, warranties, efficiency, etc. I wasn't completely convinced, being the cynic I am, but I decide to invest in the dryer which was several hundreds dollars more than any other I had ever bought.
I was nervous but after it was installed I was thrilled. No more having to dry and then reset to dry again. My heavy loads including comfortors were dryed automatically with a sensor that was right on. My drying times had vastly been reduced and so had the static cling. I don't how this dryer did that. I love it.
But there is one little problem. This dryer is a top loader with a deep well. Being only 5'2" this can pose a problem but luckily I am flexible enough to climb up on my tiptoes, bend my upper body and reach way down to retrieve those little socks and hand towels. Seriously though, some might like the front loaders better but I would still go with a Fisher/Paykel product as it is sooooo fine.
