Interior Features

With its DynamicAir and ActiveAir features, the WTVC553SUC is able to dry clothes thoroughly without having to use too much heat. These features are applicable to any type of fabric. The dryer also comes with a cycle that does not use heat at all: the Air Fluff/No Heat drying cycle. Still, it comes with sensors that prevent it from overheating.
There are drying cycles intended for use on jeans only and on delicates only. The appropriate amount of heat and pressure is applied for each type of fabric. There are even cycles that specialize on removing wrinkles, and even odors. The Steam Touch Up is designed to refresh full loads in a matter of 20 minutes.

Exterior Features
The WTVC553SUC come with an LED display for easy checking of status. The display type also makes the dryer modern-looking. An interior light makes it easy to check the insides of the drum.
The dryer comes with a white overall finish, for a clean and professional look. The buttons have a silver finish while the dials and the door ring are made of chrome.
The door hinge is reversible. The user can open the door easily using his or her right hand.
Stackability makes it easy for the WTVC553SUC to be placed on top of or under a washing machine of about the same size. This should help optimize space.
With the WTVC553SUC’s energy efficiency, the user is contributing to the conservation of resources, while saving money on electricity bills. In terms of savings, the initial expense of the product is not bad, either. The dryer comes with several cycles that can be used to dry different types of fabric thoroughly but gently. I bought this dryer (and washer) because I really wanted and upgrade from my boring compact apartment size stackable unit that we had been using for over 5 years with no hitches. Time for a major upgrade so I thought why not Bosch the Mercedes Benz of appliances.....
So I ordered it online and it took a few weeks for it to arrive from Missouri to California..hence if you buy online the 365 warranty starts on your purchase date and not on the installation date....(3 weeks difference)
So used the dryer for about a week when one day the dryer decided to stop heating. I assumed it was something that triggered the computer to go on "safe" mode or something weird like that and a repair person could just reset it and we would be on our merry way! Boy was I wrong!!!
Since its still under warranty I was told it had to be repaired. Called the service local repair people that Bosch recommended under warranty and the repair person said the gas valve had gone out and when she called the Bosch technical advisors, they told her they were going out on many many NEW gas dryers. So she ordered another gas valve which showed up a WEEK later yes a week later. We did laundry at the laundry mat. She came back with the new gas valve and tried to replace it and it was faulty too! She said it would take another week to get yet another gas valve after being very furious and getting no where with the repair people nor Bosch I was willing to give it yet another week. Well the repair people called a day before their scheduled apptointment to tell me they didn't have the part and it would be another week!
I am now trying another Bosch recommended service repair company that is supposed to show up tomorrow! This has been a complete nightmare and our laundry is totally backed up. Horrible, horrible Bosch customer service. Supposedly they have to attempt to repair it 3 times before they can claim it a lemon and replace it and the customer needs to prove that it is a lemon! Horrible experience to date! Don't buy it if you can avoid it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Very stressful indeed!
