Admiral ATW4475tQ0

by CCL
(Carrollton, GA)

I bought my washing machine from The Home Depot about a year ago. I got it because it was the second or third cheapest, and I do not need a lot of features to be satisfied. All I wanted was something that would get my clothes clean and not fall apart in six months.

So far it has been a very good washer. It does make more noise than one of the newer (super expensive) models, but that does not bother me. It works really well and I have never had to re-wash anything.

I have a dog and I have washed some dog blankets in it several times. It always gets them so clean that you can't even tell they are used to line my dogs kennel.

There is also the issue of clothes getting that bad sour smell when left in the washer too long. I have noticed that some washers are more prone to allowing the clothes to get that smell. This one has never done that. I guess it could be because it is still fairly new, but I have started clothes many times on my way out to work and they are never sour when I get home eight to ten hours later.

Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. It gets the job done just as good as the more expensive models. I think it will last me a long time.

Admiral Washers / atw4675yq1 NEW
by: Anonymous

First, Admiral washers are made by Electrolux. That name used to be associated with quality vacuum cleaners, don't know if that's so anymore.
I got a atw4675yq1, was a piece of crap. Took forever to fill. Took forever to wash. Lid lock stuck locked, had to force it open and that broke. Just a headache since I got it. This 5 month old washer has now been replaced with a Whirlpool. Some complained about the noise it made, I didn't notice it being louder than others, just totally annoying. OH, and the agitator catches clothes and puts holes in them, or they get knotted up in the vanes. DON'T BUY ONE!

Good Washer except ....
by: James

I did the same route. Got it at home depot and ran it for 2+ years. Great machine. It gave me a problem the day after Christmas. It stopped with a full load. No power. Short story was the lid switch looks like it over heated and melted plastic. no contact. It looked like one of the pins in the connector was miss alligned from manafacture. I checked everything else and it is cool so it was no evil electric short down the line. I have by passed the lid switch until I can get some parts to replace it. Right now it is still running good and yes I know it is a safety problem and the feds will raid me tonight but at least I don't have a tub full of water and clothes, and the wife is happy. Another comment, It may be me but the top panel to get to the switch was not easy to pull off.
