Washer Highlights

Interior Features Its stainless steel material prevents odor and rust buildup. A special cycle called Clean Washer cleans the tub using the optional Affresh washer tub cleaner. By using the unit’s Direct Inject Wash System, stains on clothes are pre-treated with jets of concentrated detergent, while the water temperature is regulated accordingly with the washer’s Care Control Temperature Management feature. Equipped with bleach dispenser and the option to use Oxygenated additives, the washer dispenses the proper amount of eco-friendly cleanser at the right time. The washer also comes with detergent and fabric softener dispensers. Exterior Features A wide LCD estimated remaining time display, sits next to the washer’s front control. The control panel consists of digital buttons and knobs for user-friendliness. To make loading and unloading of clothes easier, a large door is fitted right in front of the washer unit. There are several installation options for this washing machine unit. It can be stacked with a matching dryer, can be built inside or under a cabinet/counter, or perched on top of the optional 15-inch drawer pedestal. The pedestal can even help maximize space because its drawer compartment can hold laundry accessories like clothespins. The 27-inch wide washer unit and 15.5” high drawer pedestal are available in Lunar Silver. The stacking kit is also sold separately.

How does this washer stand out? »

This has been replaced by the WFW94HEAC which comes with more premium features, and is about the same price. This is still a feature packed washer and worth considering if you can pick it up on the cheap. It’s not being manufactured so the likelihood of getting it in a clearance sale could be quite high.

Advantages

Heavily-soiled clothes are pre-treated with concentrated detergent by the washer’s Direct Inject Wash System.

The washer’s stainless steel drum prevents odor and rust build-up.

The water temperature is adjusted to the required level by the unit’s Care Control Temperature Management feature.

The NSF-certified Sanitize option uses temperature hot enough to kill bacteria and germs on clothes.

The Fan-Fresh option lets you wash now and dry later.

With Energy Star and CEE Tier III Qualifications, this washing machine ensures less energy and water consumption.

Hand-washing is simulated with the unit’s Cradle Clean Technology.

Disadvantages

Laundry room upgrades are restricted because the washer’s door is not reversible.

The lint filter is not self-cleaning.

Although a Steam cycle is very useful, this washer doesn’t use steam in any of its 10 wash cycles.
