Whirlpool Washing Machine, Model WTW5820S
(New York City)
I'm writing about Whirlpool model WTW5820S. I purchased it at Sears a little over a year ago for $519 plus tax and delivery. The delivery folks did the installation for me, so that was easy enough.
The initial reason I purchased this machine is because the machine that came with my apartment broke after we overloaded it. (The former owner swore you could put this much stuff in the machine, what a liar!)
I didn't really have much of a choice for what model to get because I needed this particular size. The unit is 26 7/8 wide and holds 3.2 cubic ft of clothes. I was a bit disappointed because I was all gung ho about a front loader, but I'm glad I didn't spend $1k on a washer because this baby does a fantastic job!
My whites are whiter than ever and the machine's hot cycle has a cool water rinse so I'm not wasting hot water. My previous machine was a Kenmore and the only hot water wash available was hot with hot rinse. My clothes always came out grungy from that machine.
If you're looking for an economical washing machine that is also compact, this is a very decent machine.
