Whirlpool Super Capacity

I've had this washer for about 3 years now and up until about a week ago it's been great. The agitator seems to be going out so I'll have to look into how much the repair cost will be and see if it can be justified.
I picked this one up on sale for around $220 so lasting for three years I think I've gotten my money out of it. We did have a 1 year warranty on the unit but since it had help up so well we didn’t see a need in re’upping this.
It's a very quite machine so we were able to put it right outside the babies’ room, which was not planned when we bought the house, and it did not cause any problems. We did have a problem with the main "timer" dial coming off when we first bought the machine but I was able to use some gorilla glue to hold it on.
My wife insisted we call Whirlpool and have them repair it, before I got the glue, and they were more than helpful when I called the warranty repair line. The gentleman on the phone was actually going to have someone stop out and look at the unit to see what all would need replaced. If you ever have to deal with the warranty center at Whirlpool you will be pleased.
I'd recommend this washer to a big family, it's a little of an overkill for a small family. We've had this thing packed as full as we could get it on very few occasions. I can recall there easily being 5-6 pairs of jeans on top of t-shirts and everything else and this thing didn’t skip a beat. It honestly is one of the most well built washers that I’ve ever owned. It does take up quite a bit of water, but that is to be expected for such a large unit.
Other than that has been a very efficient washing machine. Again, if you’ve got a large family and need to get some heavy duty washing machine this puppy is right up your alley. For the price I don’t think you’re going to find a better unit.
