Whirlpool spin cycles

switch
There are a huge range of Whirlpool Spin Cycles.

Do you remember when there were only three or four cycles on a washing machine? Whites, Colors, Delicates and maybe some mysterious cycle called “Permanent Press”? Well, those days are long over. Take a look at the washing cycles whirlpool offers now!

Auto Soak/Prewash Cycle: this soaks your clothes before using the agitator, which can help get out set in stains.

Bulky Items Cycle: made for big items like comforters, pillows and down jackets. This is especially handy in the winter when it seems like the coats all get extra filthy.

Casual/Normal Cycle: this is the average cycle on the washing machine—good for when you aren’t feeling picky and just want your clothes to get clean.

Clean Washer cycle: keeps the wash basket and drum clean and prevents the buildup of detergent. This can add years to your washer’s life.

Delicate Cycle (familiar): uses a reduced speed to take care of fabric that needs special attention. This cycle is good for undergarments.

Hand Washables Cycle: extra low agitation is used to mimic the act of washing garments in the sink. Finally! We don’t have to be afraid to buy clothes with the “hand wash only” tag!

Heavy Duty Cycle: uses a faster speed while spinning and a Direct Inject system to get bad stains out of tough fabrics (not the same as the Bulky Items Cycle). This is good for people who have kids and pets.

Quick Wash Cycle: this is for small, not very dirty loads of laundry that need to get clean fast. This cycle is good for those nights when you want to go out to dinner and realize that your favorite outfit needs to be washed.

Sanitary Cycle: uses the hottest water possible to rid clothes of germs and bacteria. This cycle can be used as a bleach replacement. We like this cycle because we hate the smell of bleach (and are not that fond of bacteria).

Silk Cycle: This is a delicate cycle that was designed to be gentle enough that your silk fabric items would not get damaged.

Whitest Whites Cycle: uses hotter water and a Smart Bleach dispensing system to help keep your white clothes as white as possible. You bought the shirt because it was white. This is the cycle to use to keep it from slowly turning into a light gray.

Wool Cycle: certified by Woolmark. This cycle is very gentle to keep the wool items safe. Just remember not to toss those wool clothes into the dryer and you’ll extend the lifetime of your wool sweaters.

Washing clothes can often be a tedious process, especially when you only want to wash a few things or if you have very specific needs (or when you really don’t want to hand wash those “hand wash only” items). Whirlpool has realized this and now there are so many different cycles on a washing machine that figuring out which cycle you need to use will probably be the hardest part of your laundry day.
