Whirlpool Special Edition 3 Cycle Heavy-Duty Electric Dryer

by Dana
(Texas,USA)

I have a Whirlpool special edition three cycle heavy-duty electric clothes dryer. I've had it for about six or seven years now, and I've found it to be very reliable and the perfect mate to my Whirlpool washing machine.

To be for sure the electric dryer is one of the more simple of appliances that most of us own. Basically there is only a motor, a clothes drum and a belt to connect the two along with the heating element. I've been very satisfied that even with these minor mechanical parts that my electric dryer has been so reliable over the years I've had it.

Right after its reliability, I see the very simple controls of this dryer as being the next most positive aspect of it. You just throw the damp clothes inside, turn the time until it clicks, push start and come back in 20 or 25 minutes. It is reasonably quiet enough I can run it while watching TV or reading, or even taking a nap and not be disturbed.

I feel very good about this appliance and really and truly hardly ever even think about the fact that it's running day in and day out without giving me problems. The white enamel finish is also very easy to wipe down and keep clean.

I don't really know of any negative aspects to this dryer as I find it very easy to use and very reliable, and because of that, will continue to recommend Whirlpool products.

One of the hardest working dryers around
by: Shannon

My Heavy Duty Whirlpool Clothes Dryer has to be one of the hardest working dryers around. Living here in the southeast, there are times when hanging clothes outside on a line to dry is just not overly practical. Between the humidity in the summer time, which makes drying take forever, to the swarms of flying insects, having a dryer is a blessing.

Our dryer has to deal with at least two loads of wash, everyday, seven days a week. It has been running faithfully with out a hitch for about seven years now. The only thing I won’t put in it is horse blankets, just because of the sheer size of some of them.

This dryer can handle my king size quilt, and sheets. Other dryers I have used in the past left my sheets and quilt still damp, and I wound up hanging them around the house to finish drying. Hanging them outside netted me stings from a wasp that had tucked himself into a corner on the sheets. Not a great way to wake up in the middle of the night to be sure.

I have had other dryers in the past, but this Whirlpool has outshone them all. I even went so far as to give it a nickname, which my two small sons find amusing. The dryer is known as Old Faithful.

I appreciate the reliability factor and that it is so "clean" with its age.

I appreciate your report on the reliability factor. The photo also shows a "clean" machine for its age! Cleanliness and reliability is an important factor in my choice of appliances.

Thanks!
