It is a versatile washer that keeps your clothing looking great – from sweats to sweaters, hand washables and heavy duty denim. The Whirlpool Sport is a flexible model being able to stack the washer with the dryer component or having it under a counter to save space. They also have a 10 inch or 15.5 inch pedestal to rise the machine up. This machine is very easy to use, very durable, incredibly stylish and cost effective. The users of the it all seem to agree as well. The sheer speed of the washer makes your wash coming out clean and almost nearly dry every time. What this means for you is saving money and time using the dryer. You will save 100% of the cost associated with drying clothing if you choose to hang it up to dry – always an option and for some fabrics the only one. As with any washing machine you will always have an issue with noise. The Whirlpool Sport is a very quiet machine, nearly silent in fact. The downfall here is if you select the highest speed for the spinning cycle. At that speed centrifugal force takes over and the machine cannot, under the laws of physics, help but to vibrate. So using high velocity spinning will cause some vibration to occur. The machine is meant to be short so it can fit under cabinets (a great selling point) – however, if that is not your intent you will have to bend over to put wash in and take wash out. That is, of course, unless you buy the matching pedestals which is a somewhat underhanded sales ploy albeit an expected one. Whirlpool has created a gem of a washing machine. It allows you to add garments within the initial 7 minutes of the washing cycle before the door is locked. It also has an automatic water level so you never have to guess how large your load is. In the same vein there is no agitator which gives you an increased capacity – you could fit 10 pairs of jeans without a problem. Without a doubt – the Whirlpool Duet Sport is a great washing machine. There are very little reviews that even mention anything alarmingly bad.
