Whirlpool Duet and Steam Dryer WGD9500T

My wife fell in love with the appearance of the Black Whirlpool thus we purchased it along with the Black Whirlpool Washer.

I felt that Dryer was pretty expensive compared to others of the same type.

However it proved to be good value for the money. It is much much quieter then our old model which makes it much more pleasant in our house in regards to watching television or listening to music.

While the steam care cycle which I thought we would never use has become a regular option for our use, most likely we would never buy another clothes dryer without this steam care cycle.
I cant believe how much faster the clothes dry and the machine is very easy to use.
Installation was too difficult for me and I had to get help to make sure that I was venting it properly as it required different size fittings then the old machine.

Most likely some one more handy then I could install it without a problem.
We had only one problem with the clothes dryer and it was covered under the warranty and was repaired quickly and never had another problem.

We are for sure using less energy which I am glad to see in our energy bills.

Overall I would say that I was won over by the Whirlpool Duet and Steam Dryer and would recommend it to others for their use especially if they have a large family or if the amount of noise was critical .

The performance of the machine is excellent.

Works excellently
by: Chris H.

I simply love my Whirlpool Duet dryer. It's well-constructed, and works excellently. Prior to this dryer, I had owned a no-name brand dryer, when it just stopped working.

I picked up this one as a floor model and I've loved it ever since. It's got electronic controls, which for a dryer are really handy and let me program it much more easily. It also has a timer that allows me to start a load in the dryer and leave it to dry, knowing approximately when it will be finished so my clothes don't wrinkle.

Compared to my other dryer, this one has many fantastic features. It has many pre-set cycles which I can use more or less by simply pressing a button, as well as two steam cycles. In addition, it has a feature that continues to occasionally tumble clothes (without heat) for up to two and a half hours after the load is done, which helps keep wrinkles from setting in.

The steam cycles are great. I don't like to iron, so it's great to be able to just put my clothes in the dryer and run them quickly through a short steam cycle. When they come out, the wrinkles are released and the clothes are nice and warm, making them a delight to put on.

I've never been good at finding the correct settings to keep my clothes from shrinking in the dryer or even melting, but this dryer makes it easy. It has moisture and temperature sensors inside, which monitor the progress of drying and adjust both air temperature and drying time to get the best results out of the dryer and always get my clothes totally dry the first time.

It's big, however, and it's normally very expensive. If you're looking for a heavy-duty dryer to handle large loads and have a lot of money to spend, this is the model for you. Otherwise, you might be better off with something a little less expensive.
