    Garbage DO NOT BUY!
    by: Anonymous

I have had this washer for just over two years. Started having problems with not finishing cycles shortly after purchase. Called for repair, worked for short time again and exact same problem!! It will not finish a cycle, I have to sit (because I have nothing else to do) and wait for the washer to shut off so that I can turn the knob to rinse and spin after the wash cycle stops! Then again (because I am a mother of three with nothing better to do) I wait for it to stop so that I can now put the dial on drain and spin to complete my load of laundry!! Out of warranty now and remarkably whirlpool says that they do not have any recalls or documented problems for this make and model! Really? I will never again support this company who clearly do not admit to their faulty products! Apparently they don't read their own product reviews. So incredibly disappointed with this company!

Buy is you like dirty clothes
    by: R. A.

Bought less than 2 years ago because I come from Michigan and a lot of my family have worked for Whirlpool. All other appliances are from Whirlpool. Washer's new technology stinks. Soap still on clothes. Washer efficiency is a joke because it takes at least 3 cycles to sort of get the job done even with a small load of underwear. Currently looking for a washer with a wringer in the middle. Don't believe it wears out clothes, after all these years. Just like the new washers will save water, ha, ha, ha. This washer will drive you crazy or you will get your exercise going back and forth to see what is wrong.

The worst washer I ever bought
    by: Anonymous

Washer is only 16 months old and stopped working a month ago...serviceman came out for $65 and plugged it back in and it worked for 28 days..now I'm waiting for another service call...all I can say is if I would have read all the customer complaints concerning this piece of junk, I never in the world would have bought it..in all my 52 years of buying washers,I've never experienced this problem...the old type washers were the best quality by far...what are they trying to do, re-invent the wheel ? VERY dissatisfied consumer !!

This washer takes for ever to wash and now it will not spine out the water, even on the drain/spine cycle. Having trouble finding a repair person to work on this model.

    rather noisy
    by: Anonymous

I have been quite satisfied with my purchase which has many advantages, the most important being that this washer cleans clothes well. The tub is a good size and the adjustable settings provide for all my needs, apart perhaps for really huge items, like large bedding etc. It is certainly energy efficient, which I appreciate in this economy but I have been disappointed with the noise it produces. But overall I am more than satisfied and would recommend this to a friend.

    working well for me
    by: Anonymous

Have had washer for 2 weeks now. To this point after a dozen loads I have to say I'm happy with it and it's performed as expected. Takes getting use to the amount of water it's doesn't use as compared to my old washer. But it gets all the clothes wet, cleaned, and smelling great no problems. The only thing I don't like about it is being able to select the spin speed no matter what type of load I chose, I.E., casual, normal, whites, dedicates, etc etc, the machine chooses for you and on some you cannot change it. So on some the clothes do get wrinkled but the dryer takes care of that. Little noisy when it washes (you can buy an optional noise shield) but very quiet when it spins. Make sure you use HE detergent and the right amount of that. I bought a 2 yr extended warranty with it. Overall I would have no problem recommending this washer. Simple to use and does the job well.

    Buyer beware!
    by: Jackie

Purchased on Oct. 7, 2010. And just one year and two weeks later, the machine started making an obnoxious noise during the spin and when the spin tub is coasting to a stop. Now a certified Whirlpool repairman inspects the washer for $99.95 and tells me it is the transmission and will cost us $144 for the part. I contacted Whirlpool myself and was told there are no quality issues with the machine and they will not provide any monetary assistance for the repair. Wow! We had GE appliances for 10-15 years in the past without such issues. We were duped in going with Whirlpool.

    Terrible washer! Don't buy it!
    by: Rene B.

I bought this machine 15 months ago and the lid unlocks in the middle of the cycle. Then, nothing happens and the washer timer keeps going on. At the end, your clothes are still dirty and wet.
Amazing! I will try to call customer support and see if I can get some help. I can't believe that after only 14 months this washer is failing.

    Do not but this machine
    by: Jenny

This machine is horrible when you wash sheets and blankets. With sheets you must use the bulky setting otherwise they come out soaking wet. This cycle took 1 1/2 hours this morning--just to wash sheets! When I've tried to wash a blanket even on the bulky cycle it come out soaking wet and I have to do a spin cycle again--takes forever. I won't be washing blankets until I absolutely have to. All the cycles take forever--I've resorted to using the quick wash cycle most of the time. You may be saving water with this machine, but you are using triple the amount of electricity.

Bring back the 25 gallon washing mChine
    by: Anonymous

The kenmore top loader is horrible. Takes 1-3 hours. It is extremely noisy. It saves water but not electricity. Designers stupidity to the highest, and probably never had to wash clothes. If I do not press the button hard it mixes up the sensor and I wait like a jackass for hours to get started againKENMORE SHOULD PAY ME FOR MY PRESIOUS TIME. TH WHIRLPOOL CO HAS BECOME so GREEDY ON THE CONSUMERS EXPENSE the so called designers are very unethical for hiding the truth for the absolete sensor-machines. I SAVE water? With the double rise? Running ELECTRICITY FOR 1-3 HOURS? SAVE THE FAMILY'S HEARING? SAVING MY NERVOUS. WE NEED A CLASS SUIT for all the damages the sensor has caused to the consumer. LET'S GO BACK TO THE 25 GALLON GRANT WASHING MACHINE! unfortunately the young people are gall able for all the crop in the market so the GREEDY are using them and with them us. I AM WAITING A A SENSIBLE MANUFACTURER. to a better WASHING MACHNE LIFE.

    Worst Washer Ever Whirlpool Cabrio
    by: Anonymous

I purchased this washer 1/07/2010. This washer is the worst machine I have ever owned. The clothes come out dirtier than they went in. I started a load of wash this morning at 7:30AM and it is now 2:00PM and my husband just called and it still says 13 min to go and they are still wet and have not spun out yet. Numerous days my 1 load of wash takes all day. Yes I have saved money on my water bill but to what outcome. Dirty laundry and hours of wasted time trying to get the wash done. I work full time and don't have time for this. My husband hand washes his jeans since they come out of the wash dirty. I have used heavy duty, eco boost and double rinse and still dirty. I also washed a pair of my good jeans that weren't dirty with my husband jeans and mine had dirt all over them. I also washed a pair of clean white jeans and they came out dirty. I had to rewash them with double rinse. This is a horrible machine. I don't recommend this machine to anyone. I also had the repair man tell me how do you expect to get clean clothes with no water. He also has worked on alot of these machines and he told me to get the extended service plan since after 1 year the transmission goes. This is what a repair man told me.

I had this washer for less than two years when it failed. It is nothing like the old washers that would last years and years. It turns out that I need a new tub and transmission all due to bearing problems. Cost to fix: $640. Definitely not fixing and going to buy a different brand.

    A Real Technological Lemon
    by: Anonymous

I Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and dryer set for my wife Christmas 2010. The dryer is fine but the washer sucks. It takes too long to wash. Doesnt get clothes clean, and the Cycle Status lights dont work. It doesnt go through wash or rinse cycle. The salesman told me it was so reputable that he wouldnt recommend and extended warranty. Of all the washers we have had over time this one is a real lemon. I have no idea what to do with it because I'm sure its worthless. But one thing is for sure, We will have to replace it because it doesnt get the job done.

Please, Please, Please do not buy
    by: Anonymous

I have had this washing machine since 7/8/2011. Started having problems 1/24/2012 3 service calls later and the washer is still not fixed. How many times does it take to get a washer fixed? I do not have the time to take off every week to wait for a repair person to work on this piece of junk. Whirlpool does not care nor does the repair company. It is always someone else that is at fault. How do you get anything fixed? Why does no one stand behind there product anymore. Why do we have to put up with all this poor service? This washer is making a very loud grinding noise and isn't spinning right. Beware of this washer. Do not waste your time or money. Warranty work is a joke. Whirlpool is a joke. Very poor product and company. Will never buy whirlpool again.

Not a bad washer at all
    by: Jill Ferrell

I purchased my washer at Lowes and it was delivered on 1/15/2012 as scheduled and on time. I had a Maytag Neptune HE front loader I was replacing. I have washed everything from delicates to a load of sweaty work out clothes and everything came out clean and fresh!! The washer does make unusual noises that I am still getting use to. It is somewhat noisy during the sensing and wash cycle. That would be my only complaint. For $584.00 I think it is a great washer and also has a nice large tub.

    by: Anonymous

Got mine off the floor of lowes with a couple minor scratches and 100 off each washer and dryer. After getting leveled, amazed at how clean wash is with so little water. Even with king size comfortors and blankets. Going on about 6 months and still brag about my washer & dryer. Just a side note...washer saves on water and will not drown your clothes. Just enough to wet and wash and my wife, whom has a sensitive nose, noticed instantly how better the laundry smells.

    Buyer Beware
by: I'm not gonna take this

This machine DOES NOT fill properly and, therefore, doesn't clean clothes. The manual that comes with the machine illustrates the maximum load height on page 3. Yet, if you meet the maximum requirements, your clothes may come out dry - and will absolutely come out dirty.

I have called Whirlpool about this twice. They sent out a technician. The technician was candid enough to tell me that the machine was operating as it was designed to operate and that there was a fawl in the design. He indicated that he has made numerous service calls for the same issue. Yet, Whirlpool maintains that since it operates as it was designed, there is nothing wrong with the machine.

I currently have to stop my machine during the wash cycle (after it was supposedly fully loaded with water), and dump in 2-3 buckets of water from my faucet in order to reach a level of water that will allow my clothes to come out clean.

I have been a long-time Whirlpool consumer. But, the way in which I have been treated regarding this purchase, has tainted me from ever purchasing another Whirlpool product.

Oh, one last comment: In my conversations with Whirlpool, they have indicated that they haven't received any service complaints on this particular model.

    Complete waste of money!!!
    by: Anonymous

I have had this washer for about 3 months now. I have been unhappy from the get go. I kept thinking I just had to get use to it. NOT! I am so frustrated with this washer...EVERY item has to be inspected and put in one a time in case there is any spot or stain what-so-ever, it has to be pre-treated or it will NOT come out. It makes washing clothes 3 times the chore it should be. I would have this back the first week, but I had bought a dishwasher the same day and it DID have to be returned. So once I saw how bad this washer was, I was just so frustrated with the whole situation. I have used a Kenmore washer and dryer for the past 25 years and wish I would have just went with a new agitator washer rather than this junk. I am unhappy with the fact it does not get everyday spots out of the clothes, and don't even think about getting a stain out. I am unhappy with how long it takes to wash one load of clothes. Unhappy with how it wrinkles the clothes in the spin cycle that the dryer does not even get some of them out. I can not say how UNHAPPY I am with the washer.

We have owned this washer for 9 months and am VERY VERY disatified with it's performance. For example, last night I put 5 white shirts & 6 white T-shirts in washer. I used the "whites" setting as directed. It took 1.5 hours to wash and had to drain & spin the load twice to get the water from the clothes. After 2 hours for washing this small load, I laughed when I saw how they claimed to be able to wash blankets & comforters in this washer. YOU MSUT BE KIDDING ME ! ! ! I have contacted Whirlpool 4 times to get something done. Guess what.....I still have this terrible washer & they have my money are not going to do a thing about it! I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer for years BUT will NO longer purchase anything Whirlpool. They do NOT stand behind their products!

    my horror story
    by: mk

This piece of junk was purchased at Lowe's Home Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. Purchased on 09/08/2010 but not delivered until 09/25/2010. I did not even have it a month and it would not spin out a lightweight blanket. When the buzzer went off I went down and there sat the blanket in water. I had to set the washer at drain and spin. When it went off the blanket was still wet. So I set it at rinse and spin with the spin at high. Surprise blanket still wet. Tried to do another smaller blanket even more lightweight like a baby blanket. Same thing. In water. Called Lowe's on Monday because this took place on late Saturday night. Willing to send someone out to look at it. Excuse me!!!

The bleeping thing was only used about 7 or 8 times and it is not working properly already. I never had to soak my husbands work clothes for 2 days and hand scrub them before and now I do. Forget to soak the socks and they stay dirty. I can imagine what the colored clothes would look like under a special light. How about a refund so we can buy a washer that is not made by Whirlpool that will actually was clothes. I should have known better than to buy another Whirlpool, but the salesman said they where the top seller with the least amount of problems that they have really changed over the years in technology. Wrong!

The other washer we replaced was a piece of junk Whirlpool that was replaced with us paying the difference after having nothing but trouble with it. When if finally went out totally I should have followed my gut and went with a different brand. I shouldn't be surprised that this one is junk too. I will see how Lowe's stands behind there 90 day guarantee. If we will get a refund or have to fight it out in small claims. They already said you have had it more than a month. Um it might have been purchased on the 8th but it was not delivered until the 25th. Oh and the delivery guys. They put the foam soundproofing underneath the washer in backwards. How I will never know because it is cut to fit only one way. Then after trying over a half hour to level it they tell my husband this is the best we can get it you will have to put a block of wood under the leg. Um the legs had nut that had to be loosened to be adjusted. They just kept turning the leg and it wouldn't do anything. I may be a female but I do know the basics and how to follow instructions.

Not for families with heavy dirt
    by: Anonymous

I have had this washer for 2 weeks and do not recommend it for large families who have heavily soiled clothes. I have had to rewash some articles of clothing that are extremely dirty such as socks and dirt stained jeans. I'm going to do my best to get it hauled away and replaced with something more heavy duty at cleaning.
