Wash early or late in the day

Run your dishwasher, clothes washer or dryer early in the morning or later at night; before 8am or after 7pm. This will reduce the drain on the power grid, especially during extremely hot or cold weather.

I agree, the demands on the power grids during the summer can be greatly decreased by running the appliance durning non buisness hours, thus preventing those brown out we experience in florida in the summer time.
