The new Energy Star washing machines not only save energy they also save water and all of that means you save money. My new washing machine made a big difference in my utility bills. New dryers with moisture sensors help too but the biggest savings can be found with a new washing machine. They are well worth the cost and you don't have to buy a high priced washing machine to get savings. Just look for the Energy Star label.

saving water
by: Anonymous

this my require some handyman tatics, i for one am not put i still have 2 of the old tubes they used a few decades ago where i the leftover water went to into before it drained. i have saved money put plugging the hold in the tub and reusing the water of the (LAST) rinse cycle. if you use a downy additive this might not work, or could possibly save on downy just as it does water. i would use same water with like color clothes. i know it wouldnt hurt the clothes. It's up to you though. 10 loads a week 10 gallons adds up! all you need is a bucket, remember the last rinse cycle not the first
