USE LESS DETERGENT

by Julie
(Oceanside)

Using less detergent the first few times you run the machine will less the chance of that icky white build up that can end up on your clothes and clog your filter.

I've also tried to use less detergent, and I still get some white on the clothes. I haven't found a good way to assure it won't happen.

a simpler solution

I have never tried that, but it does not sound right. The only way that I have found to avoid the white residue build-up, is to put the powder in before the clothes and let the water run for a bit. Once the two have mixed together, then put the clothes in. There is no white residue, and the clothes and the washer are clean.
