tide to go pen

by elicia
(texas)

My best tip in removing stains is to do it right away. With my children they are always staining their clothes. When I notice they have spilled something I always treat it right away with a stain remover.

If we are out and about I always carry a tide to go pen with me and treat it right then . I have found that if you let the stains sit the harder they are to remove

rip off NEW
by: Anonymous

It did not work at all. I have used it on food stains, pen marks, and etc. and every single time it has failed me.

Trust me there is many other ways to clean your clothes but this is one that i don't recommend.

Worked for me! NEW
by: Anonymous

Ok so I come home from school and I'm getting ready for work tonight and I notice that I spilled yellow lemon sauce from the Chinese food I had an hour before. Surprisingly it was still wet so I took the extra part off and got the tide to go stick. I thought it wouldn't work because of the many bad reviews it got, but I think it seemed to have worked. Not perfectly I might add, because I can still see a faint yellow mark. So I will probably have to bleach it when I get back but it's really not that noticeable. Good job Tide! :)

Mixed feelings
by: Anonymous

I just don't know what to think. I've successfully pulled blood from my sock when i itched a bug bite. I also believe I've ruined multiple shirts trying to get stains out with it. It seems to have almost spread and SET the stain in those cases.

I recently started using Shout in those later cases. SO FAR, the tide pen (immediate) combined with the shout have prevented staining....BUT I'm not sure this is better or worse than simply using shout by itself...

Anyone have experience with this?

Upset with this pen!
by: steffa

My mother in law spilled ketchup and mustard (off her hotdog) at a festival we were attending. She blotted the stain with water and when we arrived to my house-she used the pen and went over the stain. She drove home and washed her light blue capris..when they came out of the washer there was a huge, white ring around where the stain was! Any ideas how to remove this large white ring?? steffa38@yahoo.com

rip-off
by: Anonymous

I tried the tide pen on a coffee splatter on a new white t-shirt and I now have ugly yellow stains on the t-shirt. My new t-shirt is ruined and the tide pen is in the garbage. What a rip-off

It Works
by: Anonymous

I kept a Tide-2-Go pen in my desk at work for those unexpected spots of coffee, soda, etc. on my clothes. While the one I used had a strong odor, it didn't last and did remove the coffee stain.

Cool pen:)
by: Anonymous

I actually found this from my office mate. I stained myself with chocolate from a banoffee I ate from starbucks. I didn't know what it was, and found that it looked like a highlighter with a tide logo on it! I tried it on and, voila! The chocolate stains were gone! They didn't have any residuals, not even bad smell of detergent soap. I was amazed how it worked. It was like a mini washing machine to go. I bought one for myself:)

Varied Uses
by: Anonymous

I agree that sometimes the Tide stick only seems to make things worse. However, I have had the most success using it as a "secondary" stain remover, so to speak. When I wash something with a stain, I use a pretreatment, such as Shout. I check the item after the wash cycle. If the stain is still visible, that's when I use the Tide stick. This has worked perfectly on blood on khakis and engine grease on jeans.

Tide Pen is Okay
by: Amy

I have used tide pen and it does not always get the stain out. In fact, at times it made the stain more visiable. I do agree treating a stain right away. I think Shout is the best stain removal out there.

Sometimes
by: Anonymous

I agree that the Tide to go pen may work on most cotton items, but Please, PLEASE do not ever use it on ANY item that says "Dry Clean Only". I manage a drycleaning plant, and many, MANY people have ruined VERY expensive clothing with this "miracle" pen.

I did not like it
by: Anonymous

The first time I used the tide to go pen was when my daughter got hurt and dripped blood on my carpet and the pen did wonders. But any time I have used it on clothes it just rubs the stain around and makes a bigger mess.

Keep one at Work!
by: Anonymous

I always keep one in my desk at work. It's great for those mornings when I dribble my coffee down my shirt (sad to say this has happened to me more than once). Now several of my coworkers are doing the same thing!

Tide Pen
by: Rosa

I agree that this pen is very useful for removing stains before washing them, however I prefer not to use them if I accidentally spill something on my clothes throughout the day.

LOVE this product
by: Anonymous

I LOVE the Tide-to go pen. I never leave home without it in my purse. I'ts the most convenient stain remover there is. My 3 teens and I can hardly eat without getting something on us so carrying the tide to go pen is a must.

Beware of the Tide Pen!
by: Anonymous

The pen was highly recommended to me, but the very first time I used it, it ate a hole in the white tank top. Needless to say, I never used it again and I DO NOT recommend it!

Didn't work for me
by: Anonymous

I bought one of the Tide pens and thought that it would work great, with two kids at home. The few times I tried to use it all it seemed to do was spread the stain around into a bigger stain. It didn't come out in the wash either. I was really disappointed.

Love this pen!!
by: Anonymous

I love the Tide to Go pen, without it a Coach purse would have been ruined. Someone spilled red wine on my light colored purse, luckily I had a Tide to Go pen in that purse. It quickly removed all the stains, better than the Wine-Out the vineyard had on hand. I use it on all kinds of stains and find it works everytime!

I totally agree!
by: alexander

Personally I live by tide to go pens! They work like magic, and when you have kids, you really do need magic. The tide to go pen takes away almost every kind of stain, and I love how small it is. I also agree with you that when you let a stain set for too long, it becomes harder to take out, but I have found that tide to go pens work regardless. 5 stars for you! :)

Didn't like!
by: bb

I used to keep a Tide to Go pen at my office. On my first occasion to use it, I dripped coffee on a white blouse. The Tide to Go pen did not get the stain out at all. I was very disappointed. Also, it left an odor that smelled like something that had spoiled. It took me a couple of hours to figure out what the smell was and then it lasted ALL DAY. I do not care for this product at all.
