Tide is what we use!

I love Tide Laundry Detergent. It is a very expensive brand, but really works well to get the stains out of your clothes, and leaves them smelling fresh and clean. We have WELL water (and it smells TERRIBLE) and TIDE even covers up that nasty well water smell from our clothes. thank god!
I have used the store brands, and I've also tried ALL. Neither one is very good. You have to use at least 2 to 3 scoops of the detergent to get good smelling clothes afterwards. There is a reason why they are so cheap. Tide seems to be more concentrated, so you don't need to use as much.
I have a top loading washing machine, and I always use warm/warm water. I also buy the liquid laundry detergent (from Tide). I haven’t tried the powder, but I would assume it doesn’t work as well because it’s generally cheaper than the liquid soaps.
Also, my husband has very sensitive skin, and it seems like TIDE is the only brand that he doesn’t have problems with.
Even though it does have dyes and perfumes in it, he has never had a problem. I use Tide with my infant son and 2 year old as well, and never any problems!
