Tennis Balls when drying !

by Seth
(Cleveland, OH, USA)

Toss a tennis ball in the dryer when you're drying your clothes. It prevents static cling and also helps to keep things soft and fluffy!

Can't wait to try this great suggestion. Do you use brand new tennis balls?

Can't wait to try it!

After spending money on those commercially available balls to toss in your dryer, I'm so glad to have read this! I've got some "flat" tennis balls lying around and I'll chuck them in the dryer with my next load! Thanks for posting this idea!

This is a great tip especially if you are drying a down filled comforter or coat.

Really??
by: Anonymous

That sounds so crazy!! I am going to try it though because I HATE it when the sheets and blankets get in that little ball and don't completely dry!! Thanks for the tip, I have lots of tennis balls.

I'd forgotten about this trick

My mom used to use tennis balls when she was drying towels and sheets. I'd forgotten about this until I read this tip. I remember our towels being nice and fluffy.

This is a great idea!
by: Shannon Paige

I first came across this idea when drying comforters at the laundromat. If you put in 4-5 tennis balls, it really helps to keep the fabric moving instead of rolling into a big ball that doesn't dry completely.

I tried this with 2 tennis balls to fluff up my pillows. They came out HUGE! I use them with almost every load now.

Agreed!
by: Anonymous

I agree--no need to buy fancy dryer balls, like they sell in the stores. Tennis balls work just fine.
