Samsung B1113JDw1/XAC

I purchased this washer in 2005 and have had severe problems with musty smell shortly after. I have used every possible method of removing this smell.

I've used bleach, vinegar, borax, baking soda, comercial cleaners, etc. etc. I leave the door and the soap dispenser open, to no avail.

It is not in my budget to replace the machine, so I am very frustrated and angry.

Samsung Front Load washer is PIECE OF @#$%!!!!!

Bought a Samsung WF448AAP/XAA and the extended warranty from Lowes. Machine stopped working recently due to pump failure. We had been told to leave the front door open which we always do. Clothes, sheets, and towels had been smelling like funk after the first few months until now. (had the washer for 2 years now, thought the smell was the city water...NOT!)
Service Care came out to fix the machine when we called LOWES for our extended warranty claim. Samsung's support SUUUUUUUUUCKS a big one!!! When the technician opened the washer I almost vomited on the floor after seeing how much mold was behind the tub and rubber seal at the door. The smell was horrible. Now we know where the odor in our clothes, towels, and sheets was coming from. Neither Lowes, Service Care (extended warranty provider), nor Samsung gives a crap.
WHATEVER YOU DO.....DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG FRONT LOADING WASHER....unless you like smelling like wolverine dung and breathing in moose piss while you sleep.
I wish I could find a class action law suit to join against Samsung to try and get back some of the $1400 we spent for this silver plated turd.

Clothes reek

My machine is 3 years, 2 months old and I hate it!! The worst washer ever!! Hundreds of dollars wasted trying to remove odour in machine and have soaked smelly clothes and linens hoping to rid the stench that has permanently ruined them. Eventually have thrown out thousands of dollars of items. Samsung has an aweful product, but the dryer is great, go figure!!

Beware Samsung

I too purchased this model for a suite in our home. It got very little use till this last year. I now have a dead spot on the Drain Pump Motor. Great news - the part is between $40 and $50. Problem is no-one has one, product is discontinued and Samsung washed their hands of any responsibility. We have the companion dryer, and I am now faced with scrapping the two machines because of a small motor that should be relatively simple to come by. It looks to me like the same type that is used in Maytag, Whirlpool and LG. I also find that it looks to be available in the UK as an ASKOLL replacement part - 220 Volt 50 HZ - so that doesn't help either. I thought these people were supposed to stock parts for a reasonable time after purchase - I can tell you its the last money they will ever get from me.

IF YOUR ON A WELL EVERY 2 MONTHS POUR BLEACH (1/2) BOTTLE DIRECTLY INTO TUB, ADD 2 CUPS POWDER DISHWASHER DETERGENT. CLOSE DOOR, PURGE TAP CLOSEST TO THE WASHER UNTIL ITS VERY HOT. SELECT WHITES OR THE CYCLE THAT CALLS FOR A HOT WASH AND LET RUN NORMAL. WATCH THE WATER PUMP OUT INTO THE SINK. WHEN ITS CLEAN AND CLEAR ITS CLEAN AND WONT SMELL. IF THE MACHINE HAS A LARGE BUIDUP THIS MIGHT TAKE 2 OR 3 TIMES THE FIRST TIME. CITY WATER TWICE A YEAR. WORKS EVERY TIME. GORD.

front loader odor

I had the same problem with a frigidaire model. It turned out to be the boot, seal around the door of the machine. If you pull it back you will find mold growth. You may also notice mold if you pull out the dispenser drawer and look inside there. I had purchased an extended warranty and after much fighting I am finally getting a replacement credit.

Smelly washer

I have had the same problem since I bought the machine...it has been a few years. I sometimes put 3 tablets in at a time to try to get the smell out but it only works temporarily and the tablets are costly. Any clothes that get wet (workout clothes) and towels have built in smell and I have had to throw them out..nothing like drying yourself off with a stinky towel...unreal..very dissatisfied. They dryer n the other hand works well.

CLOTHS SMELL BADDDDDDDDD!

I have the same thing..cloths smell molded. I made several service calls and techician tell me to leave the door open and to use the freshen tabs every month. No one told me that i needed to invest in $9.99 every month to keep my washing machine from smell terrible. Sometimes i need to wash my cloth 2 to 3 times and even at that the cloth smell of mildew??
Company and store are not taking responsiblity.
Very upset.....would like to hear if anyone else is going to this same problem.

Samsung washer-my mistake!

I have a WF448AAP/XAA Model Samsung. This is a piece of junk. It stinks, my clothes smell. I have bleached it many, many times. This seems to only be a good waste of bleach. I also have a matching dryer also Samsung that works perfect. However I do not recomend the washer. Customer service from this company sucks!

musty smell

leave your washer door open until it dries or you will get that musty smell that won't come out. A friend told me this piece of advice when I got mine and it was priceless.
