Removing articles from clothes before washing

by Timothy
(Hampton, GA)

Make sure you check each and every pocket before you put clothes into the washing machine. I was about to wash my sons pant yesterday and found out he had left his Nintendo DS games in his pocket. That would have been a very expensive wash.

something i need to constantly remind myself about
by: Anonymous

i have lost my cellphone, my money and some of my important papers to the merciless washing machine. i think this is the first and foremost advice that one has to follow when washing clothes. otherwise, you might end up like the rest of us with severe forgetfulness who can't do anything but cry after having found out that cellphones, money and important papers were washed clean. :)

Check laundry prior to washing
by: Anonymous

I have found money, keys, lighters, my cell phone, matches and lists that I wanted to keep in the pockets of my jeans. It's so easy to leave things in your pockets, take your clothes off to go to bed and in the laundry it goes with goodness knows what treasures in the pockets! Always check pockets as things go into the washer.
