I have been using the Panasonic NI-C78sr iron for three years and I never had a problem with this iron.It was gifted to me by my sister who purchased two irons of this model. One was kept by her and other was gifted to me on my birthday.
I use this iron daily and before it I had become tired of my old fashioned heavy iron. This iron has some unique features. It is a steam/dry iron and it works very efficiently. Moreover,it is very light in weight as compared to the old irons. Because of its light weight, it is very easy to move and hold it. The design of the iron is very unique and stylish.
It can be easily and efficiently used to iron heavy clothes and jeans etc. The heat of the iron can also be adjusted according to the material of the cloth and according to the need of the user. The water window of the iron is large and transparent so that you can easily check the level of water in it.
The temperature can also be adjusted according to need or requirement. With the help of this iron,you can easily get rid of the wrinkles of clothes. It irons the clothes very smoothly and involves less effort as compared to the other irons.
Now I can get a plenty of free time because of it. It helps in ironing the clothes at a very great speed. It has made the job of ironing the clothes,a pleasure for me. This iron has been the best iron I have ever used.
The thing I like the most in it is the steam button which is when pressed, releases a huge stream of steam.
I will highly recommend this iron to those families who have kids. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

I was thinking of buying this iron and I liked the idea of the detachable reservoir when I came upon this review. After I stopped rolling on the floor from reading this review I realized that you were absolutely right that filling an iron the old way is not too difficult. I like you did would break it in a week!
