Organizing Your Kitchen

Take an inventory of all the utensils pots and pans in your kitchen. Make sure you keep the baking items all together in one cupboard near the oven. The preparation equipment is best kept near your work area – whether that is a table or workspace on wheels. Portable workspaces are a worthy inclusion. Often your find useful storage spaces built onto the device and they can be easily stored in a corner, cupboard or pantry when you’re not in use. Another great space saver is a pot rack hung from the ceiling. Make sure you install it correctly by using the correct kind of anchor bolts which can support the weight of the rack and pans. It’s fairly easy to install and most hardware stores can help you with this. Lack of space in the pantry or freezer has probably challenged the best of us at one time or another. Developing a master shopping list to take stock of what you have can prevent you from having too much of one item. One astute lady used an enclosed bookcase in her hallway to deal with the overflow of gadgets and goods that she could make room for in the kitchen. What a smart use of space and visitors who come never even realize! The dining room brings challenges all of its own, the dining room table can be a real clutter magnet. Homework and project are done there, mail dropped there and of course meals eaten there – unless there is too much clutter! The way to solve this issue is to restrain the family from putting things there. Always throw junk mail away as soon as it arrives instead of putting it aside for later. Designate a place for the mail. A slim basket on the wall can provide a great solution. Sideboards too can be magnets to the household clutter. Why don’t you decorate it with knickknacks to not give the clutter a chance to gather there! You can put large dishes on there arranged with flowers in a vase or other interesting items. Disorder breeds a stressful environment and of course you don’t want this additional strain at meal times. A warn , cozy and clutter free dining room will enable you to enjoy those special meals you have to sit down and eat as a family.
