One cup of water for the washer

by jamie

Who would have thought that there would be a day that your washer would only use one cup of water! I have to wonder how clean the clothing will really be... over all I think it is a great idea...

What about the plastic chips ?
by: Anonymous

Good idea but will delicate clothing wear too quickly by the action of plastic chips rubbing them during each wash? Also, even if used every 100 washings, it seems likely there will be billions of plastic chips in our waste if this catches on worldwide. Are they recyclable?

dream come true

This is a great story. The title draws you in to read it because it sounds just about impossible for a washing machine to operate with only 1 cup of water. It goes on to explains that there is this new revolutionay way to take the stains out of clothes by using these plastic chips in place of the water.

The great part is that the chips can be used over and over. Anyone who washes clothes for an entire family could appreciate the savings in soap and water if this machine actually exists! It sounds like it would be great for the environment also. Somehow I think that it would cost alot of money, but I can't wait to see it on the market.

how?
by: Anonymous

I have just read the news about 'Washing machine that uses just a cup of water'. Using only a cup of water to wash clothes seems an amazing invention! I really want to know how they can just plastic chips to clean the stain on the clothes. It would be cool if there is a video showing us how they do it. Also it says that the chips can only be used for six months. Then will it be very expensive for one to replace the plastic chips?

If this is true about the Xeros washing maching and it's little plastic chip magic, I could afford to use it! (if I could afford to purchase the machine!) My question would be what happens to those little plastic chips as they wear down? Do they get stuck in the holes of the machine or go down the drain?
