Maytag clothes dryer
I have a Maytag clothes dryer. These are some of the features listed right on it: heavy duty commercial quality, oversize capacity plus, auto dry control, quiet plus, drum light, 12 cycles and a signal option.
There are 4 temperature options – regular, medium, delicate and air fluff. And there are 4 cycle options – auto dry (regular and wrinkle free), time dry, and extended tumble. We typically dry 5-6 full loads per week, usually on the medium setting and on auto dry for regular loads, set on “less dry.”
We purchased our dryer about 4 ½ years ago and we have been very satisfied with it. I suppose this is one of those appliances that you can’t say much about unless it gives you troubles. It dries well, runs quietly, and has never broken down on us. It just does what it’s supposed to do.
I really like the large capacity – it’s great for the queen-sized comforter on our bed. The door opening is large making loading/unloading it easy.
It is well lit inside. The lint filter is easy to access and clean. The controls are easy to understand and use, and although they’re usually set in the same position, it is nice to have options.
This dryer hasn’t given us a lick of trouble, but I think it is worthy noting the service we received on the Maytag washer we purchased at the same time.
When it began to malfunction – just after the original warranty expired (and, no, we didn’t purchase the extended warranty), we contacted Maytag directly and they cheerfully extended our warranty 6 months at no cost and sent a repairman out at no cost to do the repairs. I like a company that stands behind their products!
In 21 years of marriage, this is only the second dryer we have purchased. At just 4 ½ years old, I can’t speak to it’s longevity, but I can say that it has performed well to date, and I would happily purchase one again.
