make your own laundry soap!

by angela
(florida)

my tip is to battle the rising cost of laundry soap. just make your own. it costs less and is better for the environment too!

it is very easy and everything can be found at your local walmart. 1 cup borax, 1 cup washing soda, and 1/2 cup laundry booster (like oxyclean).

just mix all ingredients in a sealable container and shake well. use 1 tablespoon per load. two if they are really soiled.

This is a great idea. I'm definitely going to try it! My mother in law makes her own lye soap and it is the best thing in the world for removing stains!

awesome tip
by: Anonymous

This tip is great especially because the inflation in our economy is driving up the cost of everything and this tip will save money. I also like this tip because I am hoping to use more natural ways of doing housecleaning without using harsh chemicals or products.

I am going to forward this to my daughter. She has 4 kids and uses a lot of expensive laundry detergent. It is probalby not so harsh on your cloths as well as the enviroment.
