Make it a game

by Lois
(Tx)

I make laundry (the dreaded deed) in my house into a game for my two children to help me. So we get to spend some quality time playing while sorting clothes and throwing them in different piles to letting them help me fold and having them put away their clothing.

small rewards
by: Anonymous

Getting the kids to bring the laundry up to their rooms was always a chore until we started to make it a game. If all the kids bring all their clothes (hanging and folded)up to their rooms, then they get a small reward when they are finished.

This tip is great because it's a great way to show your children how to have fun and work at the same time!

Yes!

This is an excellent tip! My mother did this with my brother and I when we were little, and I used it with my young cousin, and have since recommended it to all of my friends who have children. It is a great way to get them involved and helping, without anybody whining.

I love this game

As mother of two young girls I will take all the help I can get. This "game" has not only helped me with the laundry, but given me a chance to bond with my children.

Great Idea!

I live in a house with six people, so you can imagine we have a lot of laundry! This is probabaly one of the best laundry tips there is- just try to make the mundane task more fun! And it's good to get kids involved. Akin to who can bring in the most groceries faster?
