LG Tromm Front Load Steam Washer

My husband and I purchased our LG front loading washing machine from Best Buy about four years ago. It was a steal at the time--we paid around $900 for the washer since it was an open box, but it still came with all of the manufacturer warranties, instruction manual, etc.
It has been a dream come true for the most part. It operates extremely quietly, and is energy star efficient, using only a couple gallons of water per wash load. It has a lot of different settings, including a delay wash, extra rinse, heavy wash, and even hand wash, all at one-button touch operation.
The only issue with the one touch operation is that my youngest child, who will be two this week, likes to walk up to the machine and press buttons. It does have a "child lock" button on it, so when you press it and hold it down, it locks the buttons from being operated: with the exception of the power button. I am often halfway through a load of wash when my baby walks up to the machine and turns it off, and that gets frustrating.
Other than that, it does a fantastic job. I use less detergent in the wash, and clean water is constantly being added into the wash cycle, while dirty water is drained out. To me, it is far superior to a top-load washing machine where clothes "stew" in dirty wash water for up to an hour before they are rinsed out.
The inside drum is stainless steel, so it doesn't corrode or mildew. The rubber seal around the door does seem to get a little bit of that mildew smell, but is easily remedied by either leaving the door open after a wash cycle for things to effectively dry out, or by running a cycle of whites with bleach every few days.
I constantly rave about my washing machine, and I recommend it to just about anybody in the market to purchase a new machine. It operates so quietly that most times I forget it is even on, which makes it great for just about any home.
