LG front load WM2010CW

by dhud
(Bridgeville, PA)

Had to return after 1 day, tried everything to get it to stop vibrating. Floor is concrete and Floor is level, machine is level, bought the extra $30 vibration pads that are supposed to work, nothing works to stop machine from shaking violently.

NOT "good vibrations"
by: Washed up

Hate my LG WM2010CW washer. As another person commented, I too am afraid of the damage the terrible vibration is doing to my home. No matter the size of load or the spin setting used, it vibrates violently. It has gotten worse since I bought it. It is on a level floor, but not concrete. I wish I had never bought it and would like to dump it. Am considering going to the Laundromat rather than use it again. Hate it, hate it, hate it!

shaking problem easy to fix

A lot of people are complaing about new machines shaking violently. Most of them did not remove the shipping pins on the back of the unit. Do this and level the machine(makes a world of difference).

I think my house may collapse
by: meme

I want to start out by saying that it does a fabulous job and the clothes come out very clean and I love that. But, during the spin cycle, even the lowest setting, it shakes so badly and my whole house vibrates. I'm afraid it's doing structural damage to my home! I called Home Depot and the salesman told me "oh, it needs to be on the bottom level of your house and it needs a reinforced concrete floor." Well, it would have been nice if he had said that during his sales pitch! I have a 1st floor laundry room, and will not be moving it to the basement. I am not doing construction for a washing machine. Home Depot does not take returns, and LG was very unhelpful. I don't know what to do.

2 year suprise!!
by: Anonymous

We had this machine for 2 years and the vibration was minimal..but then suddenly it was possesed, shaking so bad there is a dent from the inside out!! We called LG and THEY suggested several service companies and many wanted NOTHING to do with LG!! Finally we got a technician to come to our house and he advised us we needed new shocks!! The estimate was $280!! We called LG, and of course this is not under warranty! We complained regarding money spent & this product lasting ONLY 2 years is disgraceful!! We are waiting over a week now for them to decide if they want to help us!! LG is not BIG on customer service in my opinion..and in the opinions of the service companies they reccommend!! Therfore I will NEVER buy another product from LG!! I am considering cutting my losses and buying a NEW washer..

Vibration - Overwhelming
by: Mr Smith

Just bought this machine yesterday!

This machine looks great! Washes Great! But any good points are completely taken away when it comes to the spin cycle. This washing machine becomes like a run away train and wants to damage anything in its way.

We have it on the main floor and I can for see walls and cabinet damaged, hoses pulled if unattended, and just not convenient standing in front of it keeping it in its place!

I am surprised LG is negligent in even putting this out into the market place! Very Poor on their part!

vibrating and shaking
by: Kmerritt

purchased washer and dryer. installed them and was very excited to get started with laundry. To my dismay, the washer vibrates and shakes so much that it walks across the floor. the drum beats on the front of the washer to where you can see it push the front in and out. I took it back and got a new one. The second one is worse than the first.
Not sure what to do now......checking with other companies to see if ALL front loads do this and how to fix it.
It washes great but who wants to stand in front of the washer all day to keep it in place. I have better things to do while the laundry is being done.

Excellent Washing Machine. We purchased this washer on Black Friday and had it delivered the following week. So far, I've found that the washer does an excellent job of cleaning clothes. It is a front loader machine rather than top loading, so when it's done spinning, the clothes are MUCH dryer than with top loaders.

It has options for size, how dirty, how much spinning, etc. As with all front loaders (from what I have read), it does take much longer for a wash cycle than our previous top loader. On startup, it spins a few times and gauges the weight of the clothes and then determines how long the wash cycle will be.

Most of the time, the length of the cycle is between 50 and 55 minutes. However, because the clothes come out much dryer than with top loaders, it does not take nearly as long to dry the clothes in the dryer as it used to. One of the things I like about the front loaders in general is that there is no wringer. I have had so many clothing items ruined by washing machine wringers, that was a strong reason to go with a front loader for me.

This washer is an energy efficient model, which is one of the reasons we purchased it. It was in the top tier of efficiency, which meant we received a $100 rebate from our water company. Between the Black Friday sale price and the rebate, that made this washer a very good value.

I have read in other reviews that this washer was noisy. It does not seem noisy to me,though my other washer was rather old and made clunking noises during spinning and our washer is in the garage. Maybe if the washer was in the house and not in a laundry room with a door, it would seem noisier.

-Very energy efficient
-Clothes come out pretty dry (no water dripping or that can be squeezed out of the clothes)
-Lots of options for setting cycles: type of clothes, level of dirt, spin level, etc.

-Long washing cycle (which is offset some by a shorter drying cycle)
-Has a smaller wash load size than most of the top loaders I've used.
