LaundryTips to Save Money and the Environment

by Jeanine
(Orange, CT)

Use only half of the recommended amount of laundry detergent. I’ve been doing this for years. Several of my friends started too and no one noticed a difference in the cleanliness of the clothes.

Always follow the usual advice too of always doing full loads and using cold water.

I agree! I also heard that using liquid, non-colored laundry detergent is better for the environment than powders or those with colors added.

I've Heard This Cleans Better!
by: Anonymous

They say that the less laundry soap that you use, the better it cleans anyway. Dirt gets trapped in all those bubbles.
