Laundry Pure

We purchased a unit called Laundry Pure by EcoQuest. This product elemenates the need for detergent, fabric softeners, bleach and hot water. It is easy to install and your clothes will be softer and cleaner than ever before. Talk about Eco Friendly! This product is definitely that.

I have had my Laundry Pure almost 2 years now, and I love it! I was always having to re-wash clothes that got musty before I got them to the dryer. No more! (It's because it kills bacteria that cause those odors.) I replaced the silver ion probe once after about a year (time would vary with the amount of loads washed). But I feel it was well worth my investment.

I've owned the Laundry Pure since it first came out in 2006.

I love this product. I no longer have to buy detergent or fabric softener and no longer have to heat the water because it works with cold water only. I figure I am saving 10 dollars a week on detergent, softener and heating water by using the Laundry Pure. I do at least 5 loads a week.

Laundry Pure is not meant to remove all stains but I have found it can do better than detergent in removing grass, mud and food stains. As with any product, it does need help with oil and chemical stains. For whites, I recommend bleach along with Laundry Pure.

Ever leave your wash in overnight and have to re-wash the load because of the smell? Laundry Pure uses nano silver technology that kills almost all bacteria that causes those odors. I've left a wash in the washer over the weekend and did not have to rewash. I have also found that socks do not get smelly after a day or two of wear. The silver nano particles remain on the clothes and help with body odors. So socks and shirts can be worn for longer periods of time especially in the summer.

My clothes seem the last longer and I really like the idea of not having chemicals on my skin. I would highly recommend Laundry Pure.

We've had ours for over 2 years now. I did not know about replacing the bulbs, and when ours started to go out it caused a foul odor on the clothes. The new bulb cost $40, and is easy to change, but you have to run a few loads through after the change, to get the foul smell out. Overall we have been very pleased with our LP. It is not great at removing stains or getting whites super bright, but clothes always smell fresh and clean.

It's been about 6 months since I got the two LPs. Still working.

I'd repeat the facts in my previous posting that whites can use a litle bleach and don't mix whites and colors as well as pre-soaking for tough stains.

I have introduced these to friends and a couple have gotten them. So far no bad reports.

If some has a lot of laundry, the savings on detergents and hot water will be significant!!!

I think this is a great product. I am on my second one. One for my wife and one for My mom.

However, don't mix colors and white such as blue jeans and T-shirts. Tough stains need to be presoaked and white benefit with a little bleach.

Bulbs should replaced yearly.

You need softened and iron-free water.

But all-in-all, we have used no detergents and only cold water. Those two aspects in savings in both environment and household expenses justifies having it.

Moreover, your clothes have no more soap lodged in the fabrics and lint trays don't fill up as much

Where do I get this? Does it really work? I have four kids and tons of stains. How much does it cost? I would love the idea depending on the cost and its effectivenness.
