We purchased a unit called Laundry Pure by EcoQuest. This product elemenates the need for detergent, fabric softeners, bleach and hot water. It is easy to install and your clothes will be softer and cleaner than ever before. Talk about Eco Friendly! This product is definitely that.

To Tom Nichols, I did finally replace the silver probe because the red light came on. I think it just shorted out as there was plenty of silver left on the probes.Fast forward a couple years, the red light came on again. This time I replaced the two bulbs for good measure and the probe and the probe was completely gone. Bulbs were still working but thought after 10 or so years, time to replace. FYI Bulbs can be purchased from WalMart for much cheaper.

To answer the question to the person who has the email of boohiss@scbglobal.net

If the Laundry Pure stops working all together, try and push the re set button underneath next to the plug under where the red light comes on. Push it for a few seconds and it should come back on, if not, then unplug and then plug your system into one of those plug strips that has a fuse, just in case too much power it can blow the strip and not the laundry pure. If after doing all that, then there may be other issues, internally, it can happen, but rare.

One of the things that I recommend to everyone is to make sure that you install a water pressure regulator between the cold water faucet and the laundry pure hose. This keeps the pressure even and make sure that you don't blow the glass tubes from too much water pressure or surges when pressure goes up and down quickly in your house. The best regulators you can find at trailer and RV parts and accessory stores.

Next observation. To Larry in Ohio, believe it or not sometimes that red light does not get tripped to come on. sometimes when I have pushed the re set button on the system, then the red light does come on. It's not that hard but I would suggest to open up the unit and remove the silver probe. If the two silver prongs are still there in tact, then I would say you have good water and put it back together and keep enjoying your Laundry Pure. However, when you pull out the silver probe and you notice that both silver prongs are totally gone, then you need to replace the silver probe, because the system will not be working as designed. Typically the probes will have a short life if you use soft water, for that you need a filter, other wise they get eaten up with in weeks. If you have good water, which it sounds like you do, then good for you, but after so many years, I would go in and physically check and see how it looks, you can find probes on line and they are typically around 50.00 or so, even on ebay. Good luck to you all Hope this helps anyone, I am not a distributor, nor do I carry any parts but I do have two extra Laundry Pures, if anyone is interested, keep up the good work...........all of you and enjoy your Laundry Pure

LP with external filter hookup NEW

We have an older Laundry Pure with an external filter and loved it, but we recently moved. I didn't pay attention to its installation and cannot get it to work now. Newer ones have the filter incorporated so those instructions are of no use.

Would someone provide either a link to instructions for an older LP or tell me which hose goes where to include the filter? Thank you.

Not the Only Brand ... Not the Best

I'm rating the LaundryPure at 4 stars because I know the technology and use it under a different brand. LOVE it. Recommend it to everyone.

But be aware that LaundryPure is NOT the only brand of residential ozone laundry systems and it's not the most advanced. Although it IS the most expensive. New brands have put more cleaning power into the oxidized water, some don't require you to choose the efficiency of your washing machine, and some have "hard water" models. I won't mention competing brands here in case that's somehow uncouth, but research your options before buying.

I purchased my Laundry Pure in 2006 or 7. At first I thought my buddy who was selling them was crazy, but after smelling his laundry at his house, I purchased one. We have been using it ever since and it does work. I have never replaced either the UV bulb or Silver Ion Probe and was thinking that I should as it is going on 7 years now, but the red light has never come on to indicate either needs replacing. I have not noticed any bad smells from our clothes and have asked others if our clothes smell bad and they say no. Clothes get clean and the savings of no hot water or detergent is significant. So far I am happy with our purchase. We have very hard water and a softener with a pre-filter inline before the Laundry Pure Unit

Laundry Pure Works, Your Washer May be the problem

I have been using Laundry pure since it first came on the market and I went through four different sets of maytag washers, over the years, trying to get the best cleaning for my clothes. As I have found just like dishwashers, garbage disposals, there is a build up in these appliances and can
smell and not clean as good. Wether I have used soap or not, every two to three weeks I run bleach and distilled vinegar in one long cycle by itself, and that will get rid of any residue from soap, soiled clothing, even other chemicals such as stain remove and what about starch when you iron clothes, and how about when friends or family come and use your washer, the soap comes out of their clothes, all this adds to build up. Always keep an eye out for the red light, that means the silver probe is no longer effective. At my other house I used soft water and it ate up the silver probes right and left, I had to get that filter to use to make it work right. I am sorry, but you need to get educated about how laundry works so that you get the optimum cleaning power from your machines and products. I am sure you know that Maytag went under and was taken over by Whirlpool, a lot of people including me, found black mold in the second year neptunes. I got rid of all my nice front loading washers and went back to a nice 15 year old set of maytags and it all works perfectly from start to finish, I am a very happy camper, when I sold my front loaders, they wanted the Laundry pure, so I sold it to them and now I need to buy another one, and wow do I miss it=I could even to some dry clean clothes with Laundry pure-I could go on, but this is a great appliance, you just need to get smart about the whole entire spectrum of laundry-my wife thinks I am a little extreme, but we have the best looking clothes around-Good luck to you all, and if you have questions, believe me I can answer them-Happy New year 2012

I'm not sure why this one individual
(Total Waste-Anonymous) has had problems with the unit; as Happy Customer commented it may be their unit may be defective, installed improperly or they are using hot water and damaged the unit.

I've been using the product since 2009 and it is GREAT! Cleans as well as extends the life of clothes. Eliminates mildew!

YOU MUST BE CRACK. I have had my LP since 7/2007 and it is still going strong. I own a small goat ranch and am always having to bottle feed some of the kids. I have lots of "goat towels" and "goat sheets" to wash..I still do not use detergent or fabric softener and even these items are clean and fresh. Sometime I do my regular laundry in-between the "Goat"laundry loads and my clothes are clean, soft, and have a fresh scent.
You need to contact EcoPure because if you are having that kind of problem with your machine, it is either damaged, or it is installed incorrectly, or you have used hot water and destroyed the silvernano particles.
Please do not diss a perfectly wonderful machine.

I'm sorry but these other reviews must have been made by people on crack. This was a total waste of $750 of my hard earned money. This machine makes your clothes have a weird smell, almost offensive and does not clean at all. I had to add tide to get clean fresh laundry up to my standards. Dont waste your money!

Laundry Pure really works!

I have had my Laundry Pure almost 2 years now, and I love it! I was always having to re-wash clothes that got musty before I got them to the dryer. No more! (It's because it kills bacteria that cause those odors.) I replaced the silver ion probe once after about a year (time would vary with the amount of loads washed). But I feel it was well worth my investment.

I've owned the Laundry Pure since it first came out in 2006.

I love this product. I no longer have to buy detergent or fabric softener and no longer have to heat the water because it works with cold water only. I figure I am saving 10 dollars a week on detergent, softener and heating water by using the Laundry Pure. I do at least 5 loads a week.

Laundry Pure is not meant to remove all stains but I have found it can do better than detergent in removing grass, mud and food stains. As with any product, it does need help with oil and chemical stains. For whites, I recommend bleach along with Laundry Pure.

Ever leave your wash in overnight and have to re-wash the load because of the smell? Laundry Pure uses nano silver technology that kills almost all bacteria that causes those odors. I've left a wash in the washer over the weekend and did not have to rewash. I have also found that socks do not get smelly after a day or two of wear. The silver nano particles remain on the clothes and help with body odors. So socks and shirts can be worn for longer periods of time especially in the summer.

My clothes seem the last longer and I really like the idea of not having chemicals on my skin. I would highly recommend Laundry Pure.

We've had ours for over 2 years now. I did not know about replacing the bulbs, and when ours started to go out it caused a foul odor on the clothes. The new bulb cost $40, and is easy to change, but you have to run a few loads through after the change, to get the foul smell out. Overall we have been very pleased with our LP. It is not great at removing stains or getting whites super bright, but clothes always smell fresh and clean.

It's been about 6 months since I got the two LPs. Still working.

I'd repeat the facts in my previous posting that whites can use a litle bleach and don't mix whites and colors as well as pre-soaking for tough stains.

I have introduced these to friends and a couple have gotten them. So far no bad reports.

If some has a lot of laundry, the savings on detergents and hot water will be significant!!!

I think this is a great product. I am on my second one. One for my wife and one for My mom.

However, don't mix colors and white such as blue jeans and T-shirts. Tough stains need to be presoaked and white benefit with a little bleach.

Bulbs should replaced yearly.

You need softened and iron-free water.

But all-in-all, we have used no detergents and only cold water. Those two aspects in savings in both environment and household expenses justifies having it.

Moreover, your clothes have no more soap lodged in the fabrics and lint trays don't fill up as much
