I bought my Kenmore Elite Oasis from Sears in 2008. I hated it the first time I used it. From sensor code errors to dirty clothes, it was an expensive piece of crap! I didn't want the warrenty but the Sears rep practically insisted, so we paid the extra for a 3 year warrenty. Little did we know that they wouldn't honor the warrenty unless we had the repair man come out three times for the same issue! Why?~! The damn thing don't work, so why do I have to take off work THREE times for them to come out and look at it before agreeing to replace it with my forced on warrenty?! I told Sears if they didn't make this right I would NEVER buy from them again. I am 62 years old and had bought every appliance I ever owned from Sears....but never again since 2008 when I bought this Elite Oasis that leaves the clothes filthy and doesn't work properly.

I bought mine about 3 or 4 years ago.Doesn't clean clothes worth a crap.Every load won't complete it's cycles. I get an "OL"(overload) each time .I hate this overpriced piece of crap.Gave my old washer and dryer to my daughter and son in law.They still have it and it works just fine.Should have kept it.

I bought this machine about 4 years ago for $1100+. Last year the sensors went and I needed the whole "motherboard" which cost $150 + $125 labor. A month ago another problem. The machine gets stuck at spinning cycle, it will make noise, but no spinning or draining. I called a repairman and was told that I would need again another "motherboard". I am so done with this machine. I used to buy only Kenmore, BUT NO MORE. Sears just lost another customer. What a piece of junk this machine is!!!!

Love this washer (and the matching dryer!) that is perfect! You can add clothes once you start it, it cleans very dirty muddy clothes and can clean delicate nice clothing as well as handwash. It does it all! Get a top loader because it doesn't grow mold in the door like the front loaders, and it too has a view window so if you want to watch you can. I even washed a sleeping bag!! Yes, it does it all:-)

Purchased in 2007 for $1199.00 2009 Needed W/bearing repair $193.00 2010 Washer Code reads F1 Error and stops cycle. I will never by a Kenmore appliance again. I want to get rid of this money pit machine and buy a quality washer. Never will step foot in a Sears store again. My opinion is that Sears is on its way out and they don't have what it takes to work with unhappy customers that were sold a poor quality appliance. Please do not buy a Kenmore.

Purchased this washing machine about 4 years ago. Last year had trouble with the sensor. In order for the machine to engage, I had to slam down the lid. Last week the spinning cycle began making a racket. Evidentally the bearings are shot and the repair costs are exorbitant. Kenmore has always been tops with me, but not any more. I've paid so much less for quality appliances over the years and once upon a time they were reliable machines. You'd think after years of making a washing machine they'd know how to get it right! Today's overpriced junk is an insult to the consumer.

March 2006 - Spent 1,800 on W/D
April 2006 - Started leaking, fixed under warranty
September 2006 - Screws in lid started rusting, replaced under warranty
2007 - Sheets come out in a ball, Many loads have musty smell, can't get rid of smell
August 2008 - F1 Error code, Replaced circuit board, my cost
March 2009 - F1 Error code recall, No refund for board I already purchased, replaced circuit board again
June 2009 - Half the buttons stopped working
January 2010 - Lid hinge pin broke, lid won't stay open
March 2010 - Unbalanced load multiple times on every load.
May 2010 - Removed top to replace hinges. Inside under top all rusty. Can't even find screw heads in rust.
