I purchased this Kenmore washer back in 1999. We purchased it as a set with a dryer both brand new. I have enjoyed having this washing machine. It has been good to us. In the 9 years that I've had it,

I have only had to replace one part. My husband was able to fix it for me. It was the switch to the door. One day I went to put a load in the wash and it wouldn't come on. He used his voltage meter and some internet research and found the faulty part. I think it cost us about fifteen bucks to fix.

The washer would have ran without the part, but it's nice to have it function the way it is supposed to. I wanted to get a new washing machine when this one broke, but it looks like it will be a few more years down the road before I can do that. It has been a very dependable washing machine.

I will probably purchase another Kenmore when I do finally get in the market for a new washer. When that day comes it will be a bittersweet day. I hope that my next washer will be as dependable as this one has been.
