Inside Out Will Do The Trick

by T C
(Brooklyn, NY)

Oftentimes, people throw their jeans in the washer without thinking to turn them inside out. Then, after only a few washes, the color fades away. Correct this issue by washing jeans inside out aside from washing with cold water.

Keeping blue jeans blue
by: clkpastre

I agree with this method 100%. I have been washing my families jeans this way for over 20 years and this is the absolute best way to maintain their denim color.

Jeans Last 3x longer !!
by: Pat

I used to buy jeans for myself every fall. Last fall someone told me to turn them inside out - they still look brand new !!
I've ALWAYS turned my t-shirts wrong side out, to protect the lettering/pictures on the front, but didn't know about jeans.
Thanks for sharing

yes it does work
by: amanda

i tried this years ago when i was a teenage. i actually had a friend of mines mom tell me to do this. so i tried it one time. i had a brand new pair of jeans... dark denim color. i was them inside out and the color stayed new looking for many many monthes. so if you want your clothes to have that just bought from the store shine then turn them inside out.

That it will...
by: Lisa

I definately agree. I've noticed when washing jeans that when I would be too lazy to turn my jeans inside out while washing, they would start fading so much faster. Good tip!!!
