Hdrogen peroxide for Blood stain

by Monika Woods
(Martin, Georgia, United States)

Keep a spray bottle full of hydrogen peroxide. Whenever you get a blood stain, saturate both sides of the item with the hydrogen peroxide until you see all of the stain lifting out. Keep spraying then immediately wash in cold water and rinse in cold water. NEVER use hot on blood! It will set the stain in.

Works, but I prefer rubbing alcohol.
by: Amanda

This tip does work, but I find that rubbing alcohol works a bit better. Simply because it's faster. You let it soak and then wash it. It doesn't leave a yuck smell like hydrogen peroxide.

Have to try it
by: Anonymous

I babysit my nieces all the time and they are both teenagers. Now although it's embarassing for them, they have gotten blood on their clothes due to mother nature. I will have to set them aside and let them know about this little trick so they don't have to go throwing everything away. Thanks again.

Used it
by: Kayla

I can't say that I'm too fond of it because it leaves a scent that I'm not very fond of, but it DOES get the stain out really well!

It works but...
by: Anonymous

I found this method works but you have to be very careful not to bleach the color out of the fabric. I find that blood stains come out nicely with windex.

this really works

This really works! I put on a pair of white shorts shortly of shaving my legs, did not realize I had cut myself. My mother in law suggested this method and I couldnt believe after washing them they came clean.
