We've all heard to bring your own reusable bags to the grocery store, but if you don't want to buy these "eco-friendly" cloth-like bags, you can always go the grocery store a few times, ask for plastic, save the bags, and bring them to use next time so you don't have to buy bags but still not have to waste more!
My children love that we use canvas bags. They like to decorate them and make them look pretty. They always make sure that I remember to bring them, because they want Mommy to use the pretty bags!

Grocery Shopping by: Anonymous
I simply reuse plastic bags from stores over and over again until they won't last anymore.
I also don't buy the bag sold at grocery stores. I have bought thick canvas bags from our local farmers market and they have last me forever. They hold heavy items such as milk or juice well.

Make your own reusable bags by: Anonymous
Another way to reuse plastic bags is to use them as "yarn" to crochet your own bags from them. You can cut around the plastic bag in a continuous spiral or cut across them to make circular bands, which you can then connect together by crossing the bands and pulling them through to make a chain. Crochet a stronger reusable bag from these and it'll last a long time!

Great idea by: Anonymous
I have used this idea many times. It is a great way of conserving. I can't even imagine how many plastic bags this world uses. Plastic is so bad for the earth.
