We have been very satisfied over the last 26 years we have owned GE Profile washing machines! Our first washing machine was bought from a one shop vendor named Lee and Jack's Appliances in Batavia, Ohio way back in 1982. It lasted for 14 years of optimum useage---through the child's diapers, all the kid's and my sporting activities, and many loads of wash! The machine finally had the transmission go out after a long life.

The second GE Profilewasher continues to operate efficiently and well. We did have a leak of oil out of the tranmission, and had it serviced. GE service department takes the information to set-up an appointment and calls the day before they come tor epair the machine. I am very satisfied with GE washing machines.

I also like that the price offered by the small vendor was cheaper than the price plus the delivery charge offered at a "big box" appliance store right up the hill from the small vendor.

Since a washing machine (and dryer) are expensive purchases, I encourage people to shop around but please consider GE's quality and service when looking at other washers in the moderate price range.
